1 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 03/23/2026

Odometer fraud. The contact purchased a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled. The vehicle was restarted and driven; however, approximately one minute later, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was restarted and driven to a nearby parking lot. A certified mechanic arrived and inspected the vehicle. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle with rod bearing failure, which caused damage to the engine. The vehicle was driven to the residence, and the contact was advised not to drive the vehicle to prevent a blown engine. The vehicle was not repaired. After the failure, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale on July 30, 2025. At the time of purchase, the mileage was approximately 180,000. The odometer indicated that the current mileage was 193,000. After researching the information on infotracer. Com, the contact discovered that on July 1st, 2001, the mileage was documented as 242,765. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure.

2 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2017

Cam lifters going bad on 2010 chevy (suburban). Was noticing on internet several vehicles between the year 2010-2013 have been having problems with this. Started off as the stability tracking which I shelled out $700 to the dealer. Came back the next day to the dealer to find out it was cam lifter and the bill was going to be $5,000. Chevy acknowledged their is a problem and was only willing to pay 70% of the bill. I would like to ask for a recall on this part by Chevrolet if it is a known problem and they are willing to pay partial. It was too dangerous for a family to be driving and the vehicle loses power causing it to slow and jerk. God forbid this happens to someone on the freeway and they are rear ended causing an accident with injuries or fatality.

3 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 05/23/2016

Cracks in dashboard drivers side & on passenger side as well-dealership replaced ($100. 00) -told me to stop using armor all and the like- now 2nd dash has done the exact same thing--next problem lifter started tapping (70,000) afm 5. 3l engine--anyone else experiencing the same.

4 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/29/2015

Two years ago my stabilitrak failure warning came up. The engine wouldn't go over 20 mph. The battery was replaced and the issue corrected. This week it happened again. While driving, the stabilitrak warning came up and car power/ acceleration went down to almost nothing. Chevy is saying they *think* my cam shaft lifter failed and it's almost $7,000 to fix. This seems to be an ongoing problem in the chevy/GMC cara of this manufacturing time. It's dangerous and someone will get killed.

5 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 11/01/2015

The vehicle is consuming excessive amounts of engine oil and fouling spark plugs.

6 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 12/27/2014

I was driving on the interstate when suddenly the traction stability control system lit up and the vehicle wouldn't go past 35mph. I took it to a GMC dealership who identified that the throttle position sensor cover needed to be replaced as well as reprogramming the ecm. This could be highly dangerous especially while on an interstate traveling 60-65 mph and then suddenly lose power and not being able to go faster than 35.

7 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Failure Date: 01/20/2014

Service lights came on - stabilitrack service needed. Engine light came on. Car went into reduced power mode. Engine started to "sputter". Took car in for serbice at gm dealer. They need to replace the throttle body and sensor. This problem is reported all over the internet with gm trucks and SUV's. Obviously there is a manufacturers defect. Gm is not covering the problem or fixing it at their cost. $600. 00 to fix.

8 Engine And Engine Cooling problem

Tl- the contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. The vehicle was moved to the shoulder where the vehicle was shutdown and restarted.
