1 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 05/05/2023

The ignition key is falling out of the ignition when it is in the run position similar to other vehicles that were recalled. I am concerned that we will not be able to turn off the engine in an emergency. We are also having problems with one of the seatbelts not latching.

2 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 11/24/2022

Dash cracked and cruise control wont turn on when button pushed.

3 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/11/2022

A leak in the ac evaporator hose is a hazard to the environment. The replacement part is not manufactured.

4 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/06/2021

The dash has broken apart on the top in front of the driver. It constantly vibrates and makes a loud distracting noise. There is no way to stop this noise and it causes the driver to constantly hold the broken part down with their hand taking their attention off the road. Our Chevrolet dealer inspected it and said they've had lots of similar complaints. He also said it would cost us $2,000 to fix the problem.

5 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 01/01/2019

2011 chevy Suburban with @110,000 needs lifters replaced. Seems to be a common complaint with chevy and GMC owners. Consistent problem with these cars/SUV/trucks. While driving on i95 stop car message came on.

6 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/29/2018

While in park in our driveway, engine turned off, and keys in my hand the Suburban rolled backwards down our driveway, knocking me down and rolling over my leg where it then stopped in the middle of the street. 911 was called and I was transported from the scene to the hospital where I was admitted. We are highly concerned about this incident.

7 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2017

For the past few months my 2011 Suburban will randomly not want to shift from park into drive. The gear shifter acts like it is stuck. I have to pump the brake several times before it will engage. Over the weekend my husband had my car keys in his pocket, our 4 year old son climbed into the drivers seat and started to hop over the center console to get to passenger side. My husband was getting in immediately after him to sit in drivers seat. When my son hopped over, he accidently grabbed the gear shifter and my car rolled down the driveway into our camper. Since the car was not on, no keys in the ignition, my husband's attempts to stop it failed. There was not enough damage to turn into our insurance company but we are concerned about the problem with the gear shifter being stuck and now this. I found a recall for this same exact problem on 2013 models and am curious if it should extend to 2011 as well.

8 Equipment problem

Failure Date: 02/11/2013

This is becoming a reoccurring and reproducible problem. The unintended acceleration occurs while slowing down for a stop sign and depressing the brake pedal. The most reliable way to reproduce the problem is as follows. Be driving about 15 miles per hour, up a slight slope. Move your foot off the accelerator pedal and on to the brake pedal. Depress the brake lightly. Just as the vehicle starts to slow down you will feel the acceleration of the engine as if the vehicle is attempting to maintain the 15 mile per hour previous speed. This unexpected response will last about two seconds and then return to normal (idle) condition. This sudden and unexpected behavior is very unnerving and could lead to an accident if the road conditions were to be slippery.
