Four problems related to engine and engine cooling have been reported for the 2012 Chevrolet Suburban. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Takata recall- engine is being replaced.
Engine is consuming a large amount of oil, requiring in excess of 5 quarts to be added between 3,000 mile oil changes.
The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 mph attempting to accelerate, the engine suddenly accelerated without warning. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
Went to put my shoes on and I saw that my front end of my truck was on fire . It had been 15 hours since I had driven the truck . There were flames coming out of the front passagner side on the grill. And engulfed the front end of my truck.
