Two problems related to front seat belt retractor have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Both front restraints will not retract. Consumer is unable to use the seatbelts. Consumer says passengers feel very unsafe riding without seatbelts.
Owner has 4-wheel abs brakes, has difficulty in braking, there seems to be excessive play in brakes, pedal must be pressed 2-3 inches before brakes respond. Also passengers side seat belt has problems retracting.
