Two problems related to steering gear box have been reported for the 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Excessive play in the steering wheel, making the vehicle wander and hard to control.
Intermittently when making a right turn, steering wheel disengaged for a brief moment. The dealer has repaired the power steering box.
