1 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 06/27/2013

The contact owns a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 mph, the cruise control engaged automatically. The speed of the vehicle increased and the contact was unable to stop the vehicle. The contact merged to the shoulder of the road, powered off and restarted the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 83,978.

2 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 09/20/2004

Upon setting the cruise control vehicle accelerated at higher speeds then expected. Updated 11/16/bf the consumer stated the cruise control was set at 65 mph, but the vehicle accelerated over 85 mph. The consumer was able to disengage the cruise control, by applying the brake. Updated 11/24/10.

3 Cruise Control problem

Failure Date: 04/21/2003

Cruise control does not work after 3 different modules were replaced by dealer. Works initially but after few days stops functioning. Maybe electrical problem shorting out cruise module. Chevrolet not questioning 3 modules replacements in 1 year's time.
