The driver side dash has a large crack that appeared all of a sudden. This is apparently an on going issue with many complaints filed due to cheap plastic parts.
My dashboard is severely cracked, I called gm to order a new dashboard and they don't have the parts. First this shouldn't happen, gm should own up to the issue and create a part that doesn't have the issue. Second they don't even have the existing part to fix the issue. I called a local dealership (simi valley Chevrolet) who wouldn't even give me the part numbers as they said it was against their policy to not give out part numbers. I don't know how a consumer is supposed to fix their vehicle with manufacturer who doesn't make a part any longer and a dealer who doesn't give the information to find another one.

Takata recall. The dash above steering wheel has started to crack in the last year. Could this be due to the airbag?.
I have two cracks, one located on the driver side dashboard and one on the passenger side above the airbag. Nothing has been done to produce such problem. I have also had to replace my heater core input valve. I have read that this has to do with the fact that the vehicle uses dex-cool. I am unsure of what to do with the fact that dex-cool has been found to eat away at hoses, o-rings, gaskets, and other parts of which dex-cool comes into contact with. I would also like to report that my oil pressure sending unit also needs to be replaced, it is no longer sending pressure readings to the dashboard. I have read that this is a very popular problem with many Chevrolet vehicle.

My door handles are coming off!! I have the chrome style handles. I went to open the driver door to get in and ripped the handle right off the door almost fell back it came off so easily . . . So I took it to the dealer who said 205. 00 to fix it I'm holding off and now that I have been using the passenger door this one is now coming off!! the inside handles are flaking/ peeling and are really sharp as well it has cut me a few times. This is terrible and I shouldn't have to pay to replace handles on a door!! I've never had this prob w any other make this is my first gm and my first Chevrolet and will prob be my last bc its made so cheaply I will reconsider if they recall this.
Exterior door handles - front passenger door, both rear passenger doors. Bolt has broken on all 3 handles and has pulled away from the body of the vehicle. This seems to be a common occurrence for all gm vehicles with these style of exterior door handles. Someone could fall and get injured will trying to open a door.
The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that the dashboard detached near the front passenger's side air bag housing. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
So far, 3 of the 4 exterior door handles have broken for no apparent reason. These are cheaply made plastic, not designed to handle the force of simply opening a door. This car is otherwise in great condition, has very low mileage, and is usually only driven with one occupant. The passenger side doors have not been opened very often for a car with mileage in the low 40's. This would be dangerous to small children or people with thin fingers as it would be quite easy to get a finger caught between the broken door handle and the body of the car. The handles do not look broken. The act of opening the door causes the handle to pull away from the body of the door. A quick internet search reveals that this is a common problem with this vehicle. A dealer told me today that they replaced 8 handles for 1 customer. That's at a price between $250 and $300 per handle. I was going to begin looking for a new car today. If this is how Chevrolet stands behind it's vehicles, they will not be included in my search.
Door handles broke away. Chrome door handles on passenger side (so far) have broken, both with the forward attachment (screw). Chevrolet has a tsi on this.
2 exterior door handles have came off multiply times even after bring to dealer came off again a year later. Interior door handles are chipping for my 2007 Chevrolet ltz Tahoe.

The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure and current mileage was 61,000. Kmj.
The outside door handles on the driver's side and passenger's side front both broke off. Also, the chrome on the inside driver's and passenger's front is cracking off the door handles and I sliced my left hand pretty badly. Considering this is a $55,000+ vehicle and there appears to be a lot of complaints about the same thing, there should be some sort of recall.

The chrome handle pinched the contact's right hand finger. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The exterior door handles are coming loose. Both the driver and passenger front door handles. They still open the door but I am afraid they will break off completely in the near future.
I went to pull on the exterior door handle on the driver's side and the whole door handle separated from the body of the car! this is the second time this has happened to us. The first time it happened the car was under warranty so it didn't cost us anything to get it fixed. This time however it is not so I'm sure we will be out a nice chunk of change to get it fixed. Poor quality considering this is a $50k+ vehicle! gm needs to issue a recall on the exterior door handles.
Door handles, exterior, passenger side. Product design or manufacturing failure. . . Or both. Both door handles have failed. First, the rear handle became disconnected inside the door allowing the entire handle assembly to rotate away from the body of the car, causing the handle to become inoperable. Second, the front passenger exterior handle, operable portion, came off completely, rendering it impossible to enter the front passenger compartment from the exterior. It is clear from multiple internet posts this is a product design and/or manufacturing failure and should be covered by the manufacturer as a recall. The manufacturer is clearly aware of this issue and the peeling chrome layer that causes personal injury. Chevrolet and its dealers are profiting from this defect at the expense of consumers. Recall should be ordered! and consumers who have paid for the repair should be reimbursed 100%.
Me and my daughter have been cut on our hands becuase both the passanger and drivers side interior chrome handle is peeling off. I had to put electrical tape on it, since both are as sharp as a razor.
Rear driverside exterior door handle broke. Have read hundreds of complaints on chevy blogs. . . . This needs to be a recall for gm-handles brake regularly, very costly to fix, and for most of us outside of warranty. Please help the consumers.
Driver side interior door handle chrome is peeling off and cut my finger.
2 of the 4 door handles have broken off, they are chrome and expensive to repair. It becomes a safety issue when you can't afford to replace them and children's fingers go between the handle and body of the car. This is an issue that many owners have experienced with this specific automobile.
The front drivers door handle snapped off, then the drivers side passenger snapped off about a month later. I paid to have them fixed at the dealership and now the 3rd door handle snapped off. The last one was the rear passenger side.
