Air Bag Not Deploy problems of the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe

The contact owns a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, another vehicle crashed into the rear of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact crashed into the vehicle in front and the air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. The contact sustained neck, back and shoulder injuries that required medical attention. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 66,000.

In 2013 I noticed small cracks on the dash around the top corners of the passenger airbag. Since then, I will hear random "popping" sounds as new cracks develop on the dash above the instrument panel. There's about 3 inches left before the entire thing cracks open. There's a semi-circle piece now missing from the dash because the crack opened up entirely and the piece is now rattling somewhere in the dash. . . After a particularly loud crack, I noticed the passenger airbag light will intermittently come on. This is the light that says whether it's "on or off. " most of the time it will not come on, even with a person clearly sitting in the passenger seat. I'm afraid the airbag will either fail to deploy or randomly deploy. . .
