general problems of the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe - part 2

Service light saying: “service trailer breaking system” it’s happening randomly and driving me nuts.

Trailer brake system error keeps showing. And not towing anything or using trailer brakes. Incredibly annoying.

I purchased a certified pre- owned 2015 chevy Tahoe ltz on November 2, 2021, after one day of driving the trailer brake system chime came on without any towing. The trailer brakes stopped functioning. The warning message would not stop chiming this was distracting me from driving. This is potential danger situation to me and to other drivers on the road.

The trailer brake warning repeatedly alerts - even when not towing a vehicle or in use. This is distracting and has been for some time.

I received a combination of three error messages on the same day and they show every time I start the vehicle. “stabilitrak” service needed, “steering assist is reduced, drive with care” action required message, and “rear parking assist symbols unavailable” error message when in reverse. Causes hard/lurch changes in gears. Affects the control of the vehicle and the ability to drive in a straight line.

The battery power saver light came on then as backing out of driveway I lost power and steering control service brake assist light flashed as well as service stabilitrack and steering assist returned home bc I had five kids in vehicle and couldn’t risk it.

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe: the battery indicator goes below the midpoint, then there are different alerts on the dashboard, I. E. Stabilitrak, brake assist, battery/power saver, park assist, etc. The a/c all of sudden blows hard with a display blink off, the steering wheel also gets hard to steer and then the vehicle cuts off on its own. The vehicle cutting off has happened mostly when we're trying to park and turning at slow speeds; however, it did happen once while we were stopped at a light and trying to turn into the turning lane and it shut off. The risk is a car accident causing bodily harm and/or property damage. I see recalls for the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe for this same issue, but unfortunately for whatever reason, my particular VIN was not included.

Power steering went out after being recalled in 2018.

I purchased a used 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe with about 140000 miles. After driving the vehicle for about a month I began to experience problems with the radio. It had an issue playing clearly. Then the display screen started jumping and moving through different commands on its own. Just recently, two months after owning the vehicle, it has started to cut off completely while I am driving it. The first time it occurred is when I was about to make a left turn. The second time it occurred, I was backing into my drive way. This time it cut off completely three times in a row. I think I purchased a bad car and now I'm stuck with it until I can get enough money to sell it or trade it for another vehicle.

Vehicle looses power while driving for a short period of time. Starts with warning dash lights activing (abs, grade brake assist) loss of radio and then the truck cuts off, yet resets/restarts itself immediately.

When I hit a bump the steering locks up for a quick second and all the warning lights flash quickly. The doors lock as well. It is usually when I hit a bump on the passenger side area. Voltage meter flickers and headlights dim.

My Tahoe showed stabilitrak issues when I first bought it a year ago. I received a recall notice and took it into the nearest dealer. It was ok for awhile but the same problem started again a month ago. The truck turns on and off for about 1 second as I'm pulling into a parking space. However, now I've had issues when I try to lock it with the fob; it does nothing. I have been stranded at a business because it won't turn back on and I have to wait awhile and try to crank it. It comes back on but this has happened to me more than 3 times. Now, I was driving to work and as I pulled into my work garage, everything turned off completely and this time nothing came back on. I had to quickly turn the ignition key to the off position, thankfully I had my foot on the brake and I had to turn it back on again. I was worried because this is in the downtown area and this is a very busy city street in the morning hours. I was lucky it turned back on at all. Another time, I could not start my truck when I got off of work and I was stuck on the 3rd floor of my parking garage. I am concerned that I'll be driving and all of a sudden this Tahoe will shut off while I'm in traffic. I have to travel 3 freeways to get to work and back home during heavy traffic, I'm worried about my safety and others as well because since this is an issue where the truck turns off completely, I will have no control on getting hit or hitting someone else at a high rate of speed (65 mph).

During a low speed left turn across oncoming lanes of traffic, my 2015 Tahoe had a complete loss of all power and stopped right in the middle of oncoming traffic. Luckily oncoming traffic was at a distance that they were able to notice my Tahoe had died blocking their lanes, and they corrected their path to go around. We could have been injured at the least if oncoming traffic had not noticed that our vehicle died. I purchased this Tahoe used 3 weeks ago and this has happened 5 times since. After investigating on the internet I located post saying this issue has affected over 1 million other 2015 Tahoes.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, when the vents started to blow hot air. The contact stated he saw a leak under the front driver side under the air condition. The contact called local dealer five star Chevrolet located at 1735 s interstate 35 e carrollton TX 75006 us, (439)208-8767, were made aware of the failure and was informed he would need air condenser to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired as of yet. The manufacturer had not been informed of failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,409. Dp.

My 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe ltz's headlights have developed condensation inside of them. The driver side light has an inch of standing water in it and now the turn signal and led running light no longer work on that side. Chevrolet said it will cost over $2,000 to replace both headlights. I know several other Tahoe owners that have the same problem and our local police department has also had to replace headlights in several of their patrol Tahoes. Chevy needs to issue a recall on their defective product!!!.

I 2019 around March to may I took my car to the Chevrolet place in claxton, GA due to my brakes not working properly and showing "brake assist" message. They had my car in their shop five times for this matter. First three times they couldn't find anything, fourth time they replaced the wrong part and cost me almost $500. Fifth time they replaced in under the recall that was out then. Now, Feb 2020 my car has brake issues again. This time my car is showing "stabilitrak" and "brake assist". They are wanting to repair a hub, a module and struts and saying that this is also due to a "side detection system". My struts were related last year before the previous brake repair. I have done my research online and seen that many vehicles from many year makes have had these issues with their vehicle and gm is avoiding the issue. I have two small children that ride in this car and one was in the car with me when my brakes didn't work properly this past issue. My car was now been in the shop for brake issues 6 times and this side detection issue I think needs tone looked into further being so many customers are having issues with this.

While the vehicle is in motion, and the interior dome lights are off, I press the brake pedal, and the dome lights flicker very intensely for a half-second. This flickering also happens when the left turn signal is activated. It is a very bright flicker and could cause an accident due to momentary distraction or light-blinding.

Both tail lights have stopped working at the same time. Not a fuse, it's a malfunction within the light itself.

I put on the brakes and the interior lights flicker it is distracting while driving at night. Seems to happen while car is running on the cooler side or just starting. This has been happening since we purchased the vehicle. I have done some research and it seems that I am not the only 2015 chevy Tahoe owner who is experiencing this issue.

Driver side seat buckle doesn't latch at all times. Also all interior overhead lights �disco lights� flicker when the brake pedal is pressed or the turn signal is used.

When turning on the brights on my 2015 chevytahoe the dash screen will flash on and off, as well as shut off the cruise control when on. In addition, the stabilitrak will flash an error message. In addition to all of this the headlights flash while driving. At night this is very scary and harmful. These electrical issues need to be corrected!.

Alarm will go out sometimes.

Onstar antenna, gps, microphone failure.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the vehicle suddenly shut off. The contact indicated that previously the dash board gauges had suddenly shut off and on occasions the vehicle would not immediately start. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer herb chambers Chevrolet (90 andover st. Danvers MA 01923) approximate messages and would not start and suddenly blakout. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 96,000 . Jft.

I have a 2015 chevy Tahoe. It has put my family in harms way a dozen times in the last 3 months. The vehicle shows a "stabilitrak" warning. . Then the steering wheel locks,the engine and all electrical shuts down,and you loose complete control over the vehicle at highway speeds. It has almost killed us. Gm and our local chevy dealership are doing nothing about it. The chevy mechanics keep telling us there is nothing wrong with it. We are honeslty afraid the vehicle is going to kill us or someone else.

Upon pressing brakes headlights flash, interior light flash, oil gage and rpms fluctuate all over. Stabilitrack sensor comes on. Upon accelerating to about 60-65the car brakes for itself. Doors lock, lights flash. Losing power steering when shifting gears.

Heavy moisture is accumulating in the front left headlight with no cracks in the light. It is causing the left front turn signal to malfunction with a warning on control panel. This is dangerous to driving when making left turns with no front turn signal and will cause an accident eventually to some owners who cannot afford to get it fixed. Chevy will not take ownership of faulty design, part, or system and wants owner of car to assume responsibility for repair costs which are very high on these faulty parts. The extended warranty we purchased does not want to pay for repair either why should the owner who has no control over the installation of defective system have to pay for it ? please help save lives from potential crashes.

While driving on the highway at high speeds, 70-80 mph, steering became extremely difficult for brief periods. Often times it was immediately following actuation of the automatic window switch. It was accompanied with a lot of the loss of electrical power, a flickering control panel, abs light, stab trak, brake assist, and park assist warnings. A/c would stop, radio would turn off, the dashboard would flicker, then I would have to acknowledge all of the warnings in order to clear the issue. Steering was tough, though controllable, but I question the ability of a less experienced drive to be able to handle the same problem at those speeds. This has happened before at lower speeds, usually while backing up to park. At lower speeds the SUV would cut off completely. At higher speeds, the stall was recoverable, very fortunate in this matter. Unable to get the issue to repeat at the dealership and it is very inconsistent. Usually resets itself once the car is turned off and restarted.

Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving into a driveway, the brake did not stop the vehicle and caused the vehicle without warning. The failure recurred while at a stop sign: the brake failed and caused the vehicle to drive through the stop sign. However, there was no crash reported. The vehicle was taken to the team one Chevrolet Buick GMC dealer (888-518-1576, located at 12899 garrett hwy, oakland, MD 21550) where it was stated that the vehicle was not covered by the recall due to high mileage. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and supported the dealer, the contact received notification of nhsa recall numbers: 19v761 000 (electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes) and 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic) the vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 85,000. . . VIN tool confirms parts not available for 19v761000 ( electronic stability control, service brakes, hydraulic, service brakes) and parts distribution disconnect for 19v645000 (service brakes, hydraulic). Fe.

All of the dome lights in my Tahoe flash when I brake or put on the left turn signal. A simple google search shows that this seems to be a fairly common problem with specifically the 2015 Tahoe.

This causes a dangerous situation when when making left turns as the left turn signal is inoperative. Chevrolet is not accepting ownership of the faulty design, or part, or system and wants us to assume responsibility for the quoted $1200 in repair costs just to replace one headlight assembly. The extended warranty we purchased also won't cover it. I'm finding out through research that this is a common problem on this vehicle. Just over 50k miles on the vehicle! these should be recalled!.

While driving at night when applying the brakes the truck will shut off . All power will cut off ( truck will cut offf, no lights , all power shuts off . I will pop the hood move the battery post it hi the battery area and the power comes back on.

I own a 2015 Tahoe that I really want to like, but the problems have been one after another! I have had my window panels replaced 3 times. My dvd player stopped working. My a/c just had to be repaired for a leaking condenser, and now my back hatch won't open due to the motor going out. Oh. . . And I almost forgot I have been without onstar/ gps for about a year now because that is also broken.

On several occasions my care has given me a warning of stability rack issues and it will then just shut down. This has happened in the middle of turning into parking lots as well as backing into parking spots. I then have to roll down and up my driver side and passenger side windows before I can restart my vehicle.

Im driving the car and randomly stops like died all the power and brakes, lights and radio go off and I have to park then the car wont start after few minutes.
