The contact stated that after starting the vehicle and making a turn in either direction, there was an abnormal groaning sound coming from the rear of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the rear differential had malfunctioned, and the differential fluids were replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the extend coverage to address the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000.
