Service stability light comes on and my Tahoe will not move. Brakes are holding, have replaced abs module, abs valves, all brakes and rotors, master cylinder and booster. Approaching any right hand turns coming down in speed on a highway exit the stability and traction control lights appear and switch to off. Felt a jerking feeling when I was starting to accelerate almost as if the engine was stalling immediately following the lights coming on. . This is the first time I felt a jerking but the lights have now come on a few times usually when exiting a highway and go off once the car is shut off and comes back on.

Oil consumption of at least a quart between oil changes, misfiring at idle causing check engine light, stability track control service light. Chevrolet tells me there is not even 1 service bulletin or recall notice on my Tahoe.

My wife and daughter were coming home from a 15 hour trip to oklahoma when the stability traction control light came on and then went off. The next thing that came on was service stability traction control, the vehicle didn't lose power and they drove on to a gas station for fuel and restroom break. When she got back in the car she turned the key and the vehicle just kept trying to crank itself over and over again. The whole time this was going on the engine was shaking violently and after 15 minutes of trying to start the vehicle she gave up and called someone to drive 2 hours pick her and my daughter up so they could get home. The next morning I went to get the vehicle and it started right up with no problems. But after some research on this issue have found that this is a big problem and gm and the dealers have no clue on how to fix it. I cannot believe that gm hasn't recalled the vehicles as this is a deadly safety issue and I am now afraid to let my wife drive the vehicle. But how can gm go on knowing that this is a issue which will eventually turn into lawsuits when someone is seriously hurt or killed due to this defect.

Was driving and when exiting freeway. Truck started shaking really bad and traction /stability control light came on. Engien light has been coming on and off for about a year. All they do is reset system and comes right back on a few days later. It been well taken care of. Bought it in 06 and paid it off in 08. This truck has been giving me many problem since 09. I have an 07 Tahoe and have read from other people that this is happening to alot of others as well. I had my truck inspected at the chevy dealer in lake elsinore. They said it could be a number of things and thought that cleaning my intake system would fix the problem. It was fine for one day then out of nowhere driving on the freeway my stability trac light comes on and the check engine light and says reduced engine power . I had my wife and kids in the truck and find it funny that I guess this has happened to others with different vehicles but the same year GMC yukons. I had the same problem as one and they were near semi trucks. This is not good even worse when you are no longer under the warranty and the dealer can't tell you exactly what it is but wants to try everything. That is wrong. This is dangerous to have happen and even worse when the dealer wants to say they are not exactly sure but find out from reading about others vehicles like mine with the same problem and no help.

The dashboard has two long cracks, one above the instrument panel and one by the passenger side airbag. Called gm and they would not replace it. This happened when the truck wasn't even a full two years old. The truck in kept in a garage and I use sun visors during the day to protect the dash from the sun. The cracks continue to grow. This is a defect from gm and they should pay for replacement. I am worried if I get into an accident, pieces of the dash will fly into peoples faces in the truck or cause a deploying airbag to malfunction. The stability control light came on in 2012 and the dealer again would not fix it.
