My Tahoe showed stabilitrak issues when I first bought it a year ago. I received a recall notice and took it into the nearest dealer. It was ok for awhile but the same problem started again a month ago. The truck turns on and off for about 1 second as I'm pulling into a parking space. However, now I've had issues when I try to lock it with the fob; it does nothing. I have been stranded at a business because it won't turn back on and I have to wait awhile and try to crank it. It comes back on but this has happened to me more than 3 times. Now, I was driving to work and as I pulled into my work garage, everything turned off completely and this time nothing came back on. I had to quickly turn the ignition key to the off position, thankfully I had my foot on the brake and I had to turn it back on again. I was worried because this is in the downtown area and this is a very busy city street in the morning hours. I was lucky it turned back on at all. Another time, I could not start my truck when I got off of work and I was stuck on the 3rd floor of my parking garage. I am concerned that I'll be driving and all of a sudden this Tahoe will shut off while I'm in traffic. I have to travel 3 freeways to get to work and back home during heavy traffic, I'm worried about my safety and others as well because since this is an issue where the truck turns off completely, I will have no control on getting hit or hitting someone else at a high rate of speed (65 mph).

While driving down the road my vehicle shuts down on occasion. Interior lights, radio, dash panel, transmission and engine shut down while driving. Also door locks, lock and unlock. This has happened multiple times. Last year I was told that the problem was repaired after I was nearly hit at a high rate of speed when this occurred. On June 4 2020 I had NY front window broken I took it to change the front glass and the cut of the viper alarm I had on the car so the alarm was just turningnon and on I try tonturnit on to see if it would stop and it didnt so I decided to take off the positive cable from the battery to see if taking it off it would stop and it didnt so I put back on and try to start the car and it didnt nothing dead just the lights of the check engine stabilitrak and traction and untilm this date can find wat to do with it I cha ge the fuae box and still dont turn on.

On 7 occasions (after 3 they reset the code, then a month later I brought my vehicle in of they had vehicle for 30 days of which put in 3 parts. After 800 at dealership they cancelled remaining warranty with agreement for me to afford payment to fix except it kept happening. While driving 2009 Tahoe driving approached corner and brake system failed. Was able to coast to a stop. Shut off vehicle and restarted vehicle and it started to work fine. It will not fix while driving and it is an extreme safety hazard. Vehicle acceleration has delay or lack of power when accelerating. When attempting to brake, vehicle continues to increase momentum for brief moments. I've had the vehicle back for 2 months and problem with brake failure and acceleration hesitation/in fluctuations has happened and continues to happen. By phone agreement talking with dealership where vehicle was purchased, was going to return vehicle today but the owner bill nettleton refused. I need this vehicle safe so I can drive it or sell it.

Stabiltrakar and only half the motor is running.

I 2019 around March to may I took my car to the Chevrolet place in claxton, GA due to my brakes not working properly and showing "brake assist" message. They had my car in their shop five times for this matter. First three times they couldn't find anything, fourth time they replaced the wrong part and cost me almost $500. Fifth time they replaced in under the recall that was out then. Now, Feb 2020 my car has brake issues again. This time my car is showing "stabilitrak" and "brake assist". They are wanting to repair a hub, a module and struts and saying that this is also due to a "side detection system". My struts were related last year before the previous brake repair. I have done my research online and seen that many vehicles from many year makes have had these issues with their vehicle and gm is avoiding the issue. I have two small children that ride in this car and one was in the car with me when my brakes didn't work properly this past issue. My car was now been in the shop for brake issues 6 times and this side detection issue I think needs tone looked into further being so many customers are having issues with this.

My 07 Tahoe has been having stabilitrack and traction control on for months ive thrown several different parts at my Tahoe itll work great for a day or two then the codes pop right back on my dashboard causing the sterring wheel to lock up and the truck to lose engine power and jerk around while driving. This is a serious issue ive had to be towed home , change several parts and can get no answers as to why it keeps coming up. Please please please recall it for this issue I have seen many complaints about the same thing for the stabilitrack and traction control to keep coming on and not knowing why please gm yall are the best and need to fix it!!!!!!! very tired of throwing money away!!.

Loud popping noise from center of steering wheel. Repaired twice already. Problem keeps coming back. Steering is very hard at times. Especially at lower speeds. It feels like a 65 chevy truck with no power steering. It's scary at times.

I purchased this vehicle and was told the recalls was up to date, my concern is mostly when I sometimes hit the brakes I hear a humming sound. Not sure if it was due to a faulty recall or not.

While driving in town or highway , door locks began popping up and down, dash gauges were going crazy and car began to be lose total electrical power. Engine cut out and died and almost rear ended by semi-truck. This issue has happened 20 plus times over the past 6 months and several times times this week driving in town and also on interstate 44 in missouri. The gm service technician does not know what the problem is or the cause. This issue is happening country wide to owners of chevy Tahoe's. This vehicle is now to dangerous to drive. I purchased my vehicle�2015 chevy Tahoe lt on July 1, 2019 I have had intermittent glitches in the electrical system. The headlights, dash lights, and mylink touchscreen will completely black out and then come back on. However, when this happens the steering wheel locks up for a split second. This is happening while driving, at speeds over 50mph, during the night and day. It was suspected to be the alternator or battery, after replacing the alternator there was no change in the behavior. It continues to happen. The service stabilitrack warning will also pop up after the power is restored. This issue is very dangerous and after reading dozens of forums it's clear this is not an isolated incident. This has happened over and over at least 20 times since July 2019, randomly and completely unexpectedly.

It goes back and forth for no reason and have no answer why abs traction control and stabilitrack light comes back and forth.

Sway bars on both sides of the truck was replaced within a week of driving the vehicle. I can not put gas in my vehicle I have to pump gas very slowly & when I go on road trips my stabilitrak & traction control light comes on.

After reading the large number of similar problems with the 2015 Tahoes and after speaking with individuals in this area in business with gm, I feel even more unsafe than I have before. I was told that although numerous problems and multiple lawsuits with the 2015 Tahoe�s, that there has been no total recall with my specific VIN number. Shocking. I did see several recalls of great concern that I had not been made aware of. It's a hardship to have my vehicle in the shop more than it is in my garage. It's a hardship to pay to rent a working, safe vehicle because the one I pay $615 monthly for is unsafe, unreliable and a liability. In conclusion, are there steps an individual is able to take to resolve situations such as this? or is this something that one would need to seek assistance of legal aide to get the ball rolling?.

I have a 2015 chevy Tahoe. It has put my family in harms way a dozen times in the last 3 months. The vehicle shows a "stabilitrak" warning. . Then the steering wheel locks,the engine and all electrical shuts down,and you loose complete control over the vehicle at highway speeds. It has almost killed us. Gm and our local chevy dealership are doing nothing about it. The chevy mechanics keep telling us there is nothing wrong with it. We are honeslty afraid the vehicle is going to kill us or someone else.

The exhaust blows white smoke out when just turned on and continues when driving and parked. When in motion I feel shaking and nudges in the vehicles motion when going a consistent speed. The engine line flashes and traction control light turns on while in motion when not need to too.

Upon pressing brakes headlights flash, interior light flash, oil gage and rpms fluctuate all over. Stabilitrack sensor comes on. Upon accelerating to about 60-65the car brakes for itself. Doors lock, lights flash. Losing power steering when shifting gears.

July 16th, 2019 my 2013 Chevrolet Tahoe ltz was involved in an accident of total loss. Travel speeds were 30 mph. In attempts to stop due to vehicles traveling in front of mine had come to abrupt stops my brakes failed to provide adequate stopping while straight line steering. Thus I was forced to steer left to avoid collision. My brakes were quickly applied, moderate brake pedal travel, brakes were slow to respond with minimal braking. There was collision with the vehicle in front of me, clipping their driver side rear bumper to my passenger side front corner fender pealing it back like a can opener. This happened on a state hwy. The stabilitrac indicator and service brakes had appeared on and off in the vehicles dic intermittently over the past month. No codes present. The vehicle had new brakes (rotors, pads and brake fluid), 43 days prior. It had 138,627 miles on the vehicle. 1) we are lucky there were no injuries resulting from this accident. 2) for a vehicle that was purchased for $61k and paid off, 6 years later losses 2/3 of its purchased value. 3) have now had to purchase a new vehicle and back to being $20k in the hole. I believe that this problem is a direct result from the current recall gm just announced that covers 2014-2018 Chevrolet suburban and Tahoe models. Gm states as the vehicle ages, the pump in the power-assist brakes can put out less vacuum than needed, increasing stopping distance and rick of a crash. Nhtsa campaign number: 19v645.

While driving on the highway at high speeds, 70-80 mph, steering became extremely difficult for brief periods. Often times it was immediately following actuation of the automatic window switch. It was accompanied with a lot of the loss of electrical power, a flickering control panel, abs light, stab trak, brake assist, and park assist warnings. A/c would stop, radio would turn off, the dashboard would flicker, then I would have to acknowledge all of the warnings in order to clear the issue. Steering was tough, though controllable, but I question the ability of a less experienced drive to be able to handle the same problem at those speeds. This has happened before at lower speeds, usually while backing up to park. At lower speeds the SUV would cut off completely. At higher speeds, the stall was recoverable, very fortunate in this matter. Unable to get the issue to repeat at the dealership and it is very inconsistent. Usually resets itself once the car is turned off and restarted.

The car has stalled on the freeway and/or busy roads multiple times. It was very dangerous timing.

Heat sensor on the dash bord never work correctly because of my crack dash board. And even it is freezing out side, with in 5 minutes, needle will shoot to full in red zone. Make my car shut off , I had to replace it 3 times at 325. 00. I would like to be reimbursed. The sensor comes on at least 4 times a year after the dash cracked.

While driving suspension system allows car to bounce badly, as if all shocks are not working, ltz model has mag ride active suspension. This problem is found to be common on 2015 Tahoe and suburbans. Many forums on web have reports of this system failure at low milage. My Tahoe was purchased new and has only 71k miles, no collisions or accidents. All maintained ce performed as needed.

My 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe will sporadically display two m. I. L. 's - service traction control and service stabilitrak. I have spent close to $4,000 on different parts, as well as having the heads completely rebuilt about 5 months ago. The only trouble codes it shows when hooked to a scanner are a p0300 (generic misfire detected) p0301 (misfire cylinder 1) and 0443 (evap emission control system valve circuit). After several months of research online, it is blatantly obvious that there are several thousand people experiencing the exact same issues. It appears there is no direct surefire resolution. But rather a common occurrence that is sometimes very labor intensive and extremely invasive to track down the specific problem. I have replaced the brake light control switch, added a secondary backup battery as well as additional positive and negative cables, replace the plugs, plug wires and ignition coil packs. It seems to be a recurring issue and at this point I have as much money invested in repairing the vehicle as I have spent purchasing it. I am not the type of person to sell this truck and let's have the misfortune of dealing with such issues but after several thousand dollars spent and discovering that it is a very common problem amongst Chevrolet / gm suvs and trucks, particularly with the 5. 3 l engine, I feel general motors should at least cover the expense of repairing it or let me trade it in towards a newer model with a sufficient credit applied. The issues I'm experiencing seem to happen when I am stopping or accelerating above 40 miles per hour. If I am simply cruising along at 25 miles per hour steadily and not accelerating or breaking, it doesn't seem to be as prevalent. But as previously stated, it is sporadic and continues to reoccur incessantly.

Vehicle randomly loses steering control and flashes warning lights. At times, xm radio will not play. At one time, vehicle shut off and would not resart for approximately 10 seconds. Occasionally, the warning lights flash when making an adjustment like changing to bright lights or activating the turn signal. Left turn signal disengages cruise when activated. Gm has updated the software twice due to service over the above complaints. Fixes problem for short amount of time.

On several occasions my care has given me a warning of stability rack issues and it will then just shut down. This has happened in the middle of turning into parking lots as well as backing into parking spots. I then have to roll down and up my driver side and passenger side windows before I can restart my vehicle.

Im driving the car and randomly stops like died all the power and brakes, lights and radio go off and I have to park then the car wont start after few minutes.

Recently purchased a used Tahoe from dealership with warranty. While driving in snow making a right turn the stabilitrac light came on, traction control, and abs. The vehicle fishtaled, engine lost response. The abs and stabilitrac warnings continue for a short time and went off. I was able to stop the vehicle safely. Second instance in the rain, on the highway. I was traveling in the fast lane, wanted to move over for a fast moving vehicle behind me. As I was changing lanes the stabilitrac light came on again, this time pulsing the a b s breaks. I had to steer harder to the right, to get out of the way. The throttle response was low as well. The Tahoe is consuming huge amounts of gas. About 13miles per gallon. Drags up hill. Seems like it hard to shift into higher gears. Return to dealership for service. Dealer cleaned throttle body, replaced mass air flow sensor. Returned it to me, I told the dealer to drive it,before I accepted it back. Three codes popped up. Back to chevy for diagnosis. Yaw sensor not communicating, etc. I told the dealer I feel the vehicle isn't safe. I gave them a list of codes off my code reader. It doesn't seem they are taking it into consideration. We haven't had the vehicle a month. The dealer is providing a rental. Seems like a common issue with the Tahoe and other chevy vehicles. The dealer also told me I had to recreate the problem and/or have the check engine light on for warrenty. The stabilitrac lights comes on intermittently as well as check engine light. I don't think that's fair. They are however trying to figure out the issues. I feel like they sold me a car with known issues.

Driving down highway traction control light, check engine light, stabilitrax off, service stabilitrax, engine power reduced lights came on. Engine also idled erratically and would try to jump the car forward when slowing down to a stop. Could turn off car for a few mins and it would reset and turn back on and drive normal for a few miles with check engine light on, then do it again. Used heet because thought it was bad fuel but continued doing it.

When in heavy traffic coming to auto stop then auto start vehicle accelerates on it's own even with brake pedal is applied to control vehicle from take off and go then start stalling shaking like transmission is gonna fall a part then shuts off. Once turn it of and restart vehicle goes back to normal. Untill its stop and go traffic again problem reoccurring. Danger to bump into vehicles infront of you cause accident. Also vehicle speeds up on it's own without applying gas pedal at 40 to 50 mph.
