4 Structure problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Tracker

Failure Date: 01/01/2004

New 2003 Chevrolet Tracker 4dr 4wd with the following safety related defects; 1. Two of the tire valves leak for varying lengths of time after checking pressure or filling tire with air, 2. Windshield washer fluid from factory froze, 3. There are stamped openings in the left and right rear fender pannels under the tail lights about 3 x 4 inches in size. One of them is just over where the tail pipe exhausts on the left side. They are covered by what seems to be a generic "scotch tape. " while removing the left tail lens (over the exhaust) for instalation of a trailer lighting harness, I saw the above and discoverd that the tape was loose effectively leaving a rather large communication into the inside of the vehicle. Gm was notified by me via telephone one week ago. I consider the above serious safety hazzards with rather cheap fixes. Since they have not gotten back to me, I am filing this complaint.

5 Structure problem of the 1999 Chevrolet Tracker

Failure Date: 06/15/2003

My complaint isn't the failure of the items on the truck. We purchased this truck from sands on broadway. The truck was lifted when we purchased it, we asked the finance person who was selling us the warranty if the warranty covered everything since the truck was lifted. He said yes and went as far as assuring us that it would even cover the over sized tires. We made it clear several times that we did not want the truck if the extended warranty didn't cover a lifted truck. We were assured that it would cover the truck even though it was lifted. So we purchased the truck on 1/25/03. It is now 6/24/03 and we have already had to take the truck in. There is over 1k of work that needs to be done on the trucks suspension and they are not willing to cover it because the truck is lifted. An inspector came out and viewed the truck and told us that they would cover nothing that had to do with the suspension or the door because the truck is lifted. My boyfriend and I have both called the dealership and have gottent the run around. According to the dealrship the person that sold us the warranty no longer works in their office and they are basically telling us to bad. I have a phone call into the gm of the dealership. They misrepresented to us what this warranty was suppose to cover, those tires that he said would be covered are not, it clearly says in the warranty that they will only cover factory tires, another lie.

When turning right, the vehicle was able to tilt and lose control. After having had work done several times on the vehicle the problem was still unidentifiable. The consumer wanted the dealership to take the vehicle back and refund her money, because the car was defective. The consumer stated the brakes and tires were replaced to help alleviate the problem, but it continued. Also the vehicle had an alignment, and that did not help.
