Three problems related to mid/rear seats assembly have been reported for the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The left rear seat cannot be lifted to access the tire change tools. The right rear side can be accessed.
Rear seat bottom, which folds up to lower seat back, is not fully secured to vehicle. There is only one latch, with obvious location for a second one, which was not installed. This makes left rear seat, not properly secured and could break loose in collision.
Vehicle failed to comply with fmvss 225 for the latch system at time of manufacturing. Because of the rear seat design installation of a rear facing seat was impossible.
