Ful pump.
The same thing running off the fuse to the cpu grounds out on the body blowing the fuse making it seem like the cpu is bad. I went and started it and put in drive, fuse blew, and the engine shut down.
Dash cluster, reads below 0 or over 100mph at times, sometimes sticks at 5 or 10mph. Sometimes buries speedometer and tach, all dash lights come on and car will shut down at speeds over 60mph. This sould be recalled! have read of similar problems on all car forums and complaint sites and other google inquiries as well. Didn't.
On Saturday, August 1, 2015 at approximately 8:55pm my mother was involved in a 1 car accident on baum rd located in tallahassee, FL. She was the only passenger determined to be in the vehicle at the time of the accident. According to the crash report, d1 (driver one) was traveling westbound on baum rd going the normal posted speed of 55mph, when she veered towards the center of the rd and suddenly turned right veering of the right shoulder of the rd and striking several trees on the drivers side and front end. D1 was wearing her seatbelt and managed to exit out the drivers side window before coming to her final resting place on the shoulder of the rd. When I went to retrieve my mothers things from her Trailblazer, I noticed that no air bags had deployed. And as fast as my mom was going and the type of impact & damage her SUV sustained, I would think and hope the airbags would deploy in this type of accident, thus preventing serious injury or death. My mom was not so lucky, and myself and my family have endured great pain from loosing her so suddenly.
Car parked in driveway and flames erupted from under hood.
Starting about a few weeks ago my 2004 chevy Trailblazer ext has reeked of unspent gasoline, and this smell consumes the entire interior and exterior of the vehicle. The vehicle also has small leak below reservoir which appears to be leaking unspent fuel. Chevy offered a "special coverage" to correct this issue (corrosion on top of fuel tank reservoir), however it only covers vehicles under 10 years of age and under 120k miles. My vehicle is under that mileage, however this repair will not be covered due to age of vehicle (mine was assembled in March). This issue is a major safety concern, as any small spark could cause this vehicle to ignite. I cannot continue to drive my vehicle, and feel this needs to be rectified before it causes catastrophic loss (either building or personal).
Shut car off and when I attempted to restart key would not turn. Steering wheel was not locked and and it would not shift into gear. An hour later returned to have it towed and tried the key and vehicle started.
No accident. This is a part recall. I was wandering if there is a recall on the fan control module. I seen where the one I have on my car is replaced with a new type. My fan now only works on one speed. The other 4 speeds will not work. It is very upsetting,it will only work on the 4th speed. I bought one to replace the old one but it will not work on my car. What is the number I should be using. If this is a gm free replacement please send me one. Thanks. My husband is a retired gm worker.
My chevy Trailblazer 2004 slowed down to 20mph on the highway I had a very hard an scary time pulling over I got my throttle fixed that cost me 500. 00 dollars my car is still doing the same thing it was doing on the highway 20mph and amp idles very high wont drop down to 0 stays at 20 or above there should be a recall no one can find a problem with my car all they want is to keep guessing what the problem is. I really would like to no because it keep's going back to the same problem doesn't want to go in gear and drive it just let you put your foot on the gas an does nothing.
While driving the vehicle it began to smoke. The car wouldn't accelerate so I stopped the car shut it off, popped the hood, and it was engulfed in flames. I grabbed my 2 children out of the car and called 9-1-1 the car was a total loss!.
My complaint is that I contacted chevy dealer and advised of so many issues I have had with my vehicle since the purchase mainly most recent is the driver signal light will not come on and it was recalled 2004 recall# turn signal 05v198000 in which they advised me that the campaign has expired and therefore mine cannot be replaced. I have already almost had 3 car crashes because the signal is not working. I do not understand why Chevrolet did not replace when it is clear this is life threatening regardless of when the recall was put into force.
I purchased a 2004 chevy Trailblazer lt in February 2013. That winter I started experiencing issues with my speedometer needle rising above whatever speed I was going. I took a picture of it saying I was driving 120 mph when I clearly wasn't. So I did my research and found that thousands of other chevy Trailblazer owners were experiencing the same problem!! I called chevys customer care line and the representative claimed this was her first time hearing about this and there is nothing they can do to help me. I contacted them via facebook and still not willing to help. As of right now my speedometer doesn't work. I have to use an app on my phone to know how fast I'm going. I can't afford to spend the $500-$800 that it would cost to repair something that is a malfunction on chevys behalf!! I just don't understand how they're getting away with this when thousands of other customers have the same problem!! I will never buy another chevy or gm again!!.
Several months the smell of gasoline was very strong in the interior of my SUV. I drove it about five miles from my home with a full tank, as I drove it the smell became much strong, when I reached my destination a person pointed out to me that gasoline was pouring from the bottom of my truck likea water hose. I immediately returned home to park the vehicle. As I tried to recall what may have occurred, I remembered that two days prior to the incident I got an oil change; I assumed that maybe they had done something to aggrevate an already existing problem. After they reviewed their work, I was told it was a manufactures problem. I later took the vehicle to wolf Chevrolet (now defunct dealer). A diagnostic was done and it was determined that the gas tank must be replaced with a cost of $1192. And the SUV is considered "too dangerous to drive". I then went to another automotive establishment and was given the same diagnosis. After taking in consideration both estimates and my need for transportation, I contacted gm and spoke with a customer service representative who informed me that I needed to take the vehicle to a certified gm dealer. I took the vehicle to lou bachrodt in cherry valley, illinois and was given the same diagnosis. Afteri relayed the iinformation to the gm rep, he said that due to the age of the vehicle and the mileage, gm would not be able to offer me any compensation. He suggested I phone lou bachrodt and see if they could assist me in the cost, the service technician gave me the same statement; age and mileage. I am writing because from all indications this problem is not only prevalent in my SUV but after doing research, several 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer owners have experienced similar problems. It is my belief that Chevrolet gm should take ownership for all or some of this problem.
There are a few things. And I just would like to know if there is a recall or possible recall issue at hand. The first thing that happened was the rpm gaudge. It will stick at 3000rpm or higher. But the engine is not over reving and the needle still moves up and down as if it would when reading correctly. But doesn't drop below the 3000rpm. Then it randomly resets and works correctly then will again randomly stick at 3000 empty or higher. The next thing that happens is the battery light will randomly flicker. Not all the time just at random. I had the battery tested and its holding a charge just fine. The weird thing next was I killed the power. No key in at all and it still flickered on my dashboard. Then stopped the next day. Another thing I was driving home 1 night from work. Turned my blinkers on to turn onto my road and my interior lights slowly come on and slowly turn back off. My head light wire on the drivers side burnt out about a yr ago which I replaced. Now I'm having issues with the drivers side. The bulb for my low beam is not blown. If u hit it comes back on. My drivers side speaker has not worked since I purchased my Trailblazer. And it will randomly work. This is recent. I really think there is an electrical problem. And my consent is a fire. Ive had it just under 2 yrs. And I'm only the 2nd owner and it had 34000 miles on it when I bought it in June of 2011.
Many times while driving this SUV, the engine has just shut off. It will start right back up. However it is scary and we have tried to figure this out for quite some time now. The worst time was when I was getting on a busy interstate and the car cut off. I don't know if the vehicle was doing this prior to our purchase. I can not get any information from carmax in regard to this. It is well maintained and due to this, I rarely take it out on the road anymore.
On June 23, 2011, I cranked my 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer lt and the guages (speedomter, tacometer, etc. ) began to fluctuate at a rapid speed. The SUV cut off and I attempted to crank it again. The same thing happened again while I was driving the car. The speedometer went to zero as I was driving 70 miles per hour on the highway. I slowed down, but I had no idea how fast nor slow I was going. I pulled off of the highway, turned the SUV off and restarted it. The speedometer went to 70 miles per hour while it was parked. The speedometer stayed at 70 mph as I made my way back to the highway. I have read several, literally hundreds, of similar situations online about chevy Trailblazers. I researched and found there are no recalls regarding this malfunction. The first time my guages fluctuated was about 3 years after I purchased the SUV. I turned the vehicle off, restarted it and had no more problems, so I thought it may have been a glitch and thought nothing else about it. After reading other consumers' concerns about the problem, I discovered most of them had problems with their speedometers during the second year after the SUV was purchased. It's a very dangerous situatuon when one cannot guage his or her speed while driving because the speedometer stops working all of a sudden. It's dangerous at crosswalks, schools zones, and every road and highway we travel on. Consumers have complained to their Chevrolet service mechanics and customer service, but many are told the part has to be replaced or the entire console has to be replaced and reprogrammed. I am persuaded that there is a problem with the electrical system which has an adverse effect on the speedomter. Hopefully this matter can be resolved without any tragic endings.
Windshield wipers will not turn off.
The speedometer/odometer in my 2004 chevy Trailblazer is malfuncitoning. At some points it seems to work correctly, then it will stick, or drop to zero. Sometimes I can be traveling approximately 30-35 mph and the reading will be at 110+. I am reading that others are having this same problem, that it is widespread, but as far as I can tell there is no recall. The first time it occurred was on the freeway - going 55mph - I looked at the speedometer and it said I was going 110! no other cars around - very hard to judge speed.
The front passenger window will not go up or down. Many electrical issues with this car!.
Cluster not working in 2004 chevy Trailblazer. Chevy recalled clusters in other chevy vehicles but not Trailblazer.
The first time I was in a car wash and heard a loud banging noise. I looked back and could see the upper tailgate molding flopping in the wind of the car wash dryer being held on by only the brake wires. At that time it was replaced under warranty. 2nd replacement about 3 years later same thing. Now recently I noticed again that on the drivers side screw attachment on the molding has broken away again and it's my responsibility to shell out the $500+ to have it replaced again. I have been told by a gm dealer it is probably caused by our wisconsin winters with accumulation of ice & snow build up getting under the molding and also winds used to drying vehicles in car washes. Cheap plastic for the mounting screw to go through to attach it to the vehicle.
On the afternoon of 6/16/08, me in my family was traveling north on i95 in north carolina going toward our destination in baltimore MD. , when another vehicle click us and cause my sister to lose control of the vehicle crashing into the guardrail. My two aunts and myself were ejected from the vehicle, both my aunts die instantly. My mother, sisters and myself survived but had several injuries. The airbags did not deploy, and the doors that were initially locked; but somehow the rear doors (middle) open during impact causing my aunts in myself to be thrown from the vehicle. Be advised the vehicle was a green Trailblazer (extended cab).
My air/heat on occasion has not worked. This happened a few times where I would turn on the system and everything would sound like it was on but nothing would blow out at all. My vehicle is of course out of warranty and I went to my mechanic who said this is an on going issue with many gm vehicles. Currently my unit is not working again.
2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The vehicle's a/c air output works fine, but when you switch it to heat, the output for this is diminished considerably. The vehicle heats up fine, but even when the airflow is entirely at the dash (none directed to the floorboard) the output of air for the heat is very low; so low it can't even be felt unless the hand is placed directly in front of the vent no matter how high the setting is. Veh has been taken back to the dealer (under warranty), and was told no diagnostic problem was detected; everything is working properly. Compared my vehicle to others of similar make/model/year, and dealer says all work the same. This is not true because last year, I could not stand the heat on setting of more than two because the output was very good. Now, it can be put at a higher setting, but with little heat output. I communicated with an internet service technician who says it is the air flow door that is not sealing properly. The internet service technician also said it is difficult/tedious to fix this problem. I think the dealer just doesn't want to mess with it as it is under warranty.
Horn has intermittent issues of working - we have taken to the dealership on several occasions and then it works. They do not want to take apart the steering wheel assembly to research the problem regardless of the number of times we have had the vehicle to the dealership. Now that the warranty is expiring, I am sure the problem will be researched since it will be at our cost. The horn only seems to work when the car is first started and the steering wheel is moved shapely. Since it is under the air bag, the dealership doesn't want to deal with it.
The icv valve on the gas tank recived letter on extended warranty for repairs. Gm knew about this problem for years because the letter says the ses light comes on,and my light has been on for years since it was about 2 years old, they knew this and played dumb about the problem. Gas fumes have been in the car for years to.
Transmission slipping and the heater circuit.
Stalls - I have taken this Trailblazer into the dealer for this stalling problem and I am told no problem found. Vehicle stalls after coming to a stop or when moving slowly. This is an intermittent.
Turn signals inoperatable at times. Brought truck to the dealer they replace a faulty hazard flasher.
