Three problems related to power steering pump have been reported for the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
In cold weather, the steering fluid becomes filled with air. Then it foams and boils out of the pump. The car is impossible to steer. It has done it twice.
My 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer had a sudden failure of the power steering pump. The vehicle only had 43,000 miles on it and failed without warning. It became extremely difficult to steer and fortunately I was not traveling fast at the time.
Power steering pump needs replaced. Other SUV owners have told me the same thing happened to their vehicle that had the same pump.
