Two problems related to other fuel system tank mounting have been reported for the 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Fuel gauge indicator remains illuminated after filling with fuel. The gauge and message bar indicated that there is low fuel no matter how full the tank is. As a result, I have to use the trip meter and assume that I need to fill up at around 250 miles. I have run out of gas twice even before that amount of miles. I have called my local dealer and Chevrolet corporate but they will not take responsibility for repairs and state that the vehicle is out of warranty. This is absolutely a manufacturers defect. The failure mileage was 50,000 and current mileage is 60,000.
I have a 2007 chevy Trailblazer that has issues with the gas gauge reading. My gas gauge all of sudden stopped registering the amount of full in the tank at around 60,000 miles. It would show empty when I had just filled it up full. Now my gas gauge always shows empty and this in turn also makes the check engine light come on all the time. I have to fill up every 300 miles just to make sure I don't run out of gas. When I talked to the local dealership they said it was the fuel sensor in the tank but gm hadn't recalled it. I searched all over the internet and found this to be a problem with my year Trailblazer. Many others have experienced the same problem. I have not repaired it because it was over $700. It seems to me that if this is a problem with 2005-2007 Trailblazers that gm would do something about it. I know there are far more people out there who haven't complained.
