I purchased a used 2002 chevy Trailblazer,(with the loan company and car lot) ,I could not get the loan without having the car sales company put an anti-theft device in,when they did that,all of the features stopped working,. Not able to lock,open with remote,seat-belt and airbag light stay on etc etc etc diagnoses (body control module $950. 00. Currently using the vehicle.

The check engine light comes on&off a lot right after fueling, I took it to the GMC dealership&had the camshaft replaced because it kept cutting off every time I turned a curve. I tried to show or tell them about this GMC recall letter I got on my 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, but they said that it didn't apply because of the mileage&I told them the car is not 10yrs old& the paper is saying 10yrs/120,00 miles& for me to take it to the dealership so that the manger can send my bill & receipt in for reimbursement they wouldn't do it. I guess because I'm a woman. Driving to work on the interstate the car shut completely off. The car was still moving when all of a sudden all the lights and gage's lit up and the car cut off. It did not lock up so I was able to steer it from the middle lane of a three lane interstate highway to the grass on the side without getting killed or hurting someone else. I had just filled it up with gas with a quarter of a tank from the full line. Once I got the car to a complete stop and thanking god that this was not tragic,I put the car in park and waited a few minutes before starting it back up. It started back up as if nothing had happened. I took it to auto zone to get a free diagnostic check&it showed that nothing was wrong. A few weeks later after I would cut the car off the air conditioning would not stop&the engine light constantly comes on every other time I hit the brakes. I had to keep taking out fuse #35 to get it to stop even after the car was cut off just so the battery won't run down. Took it to the dealership and was charged an arm&leg to get it fixed. I showed them the recall letter again and they said it was too late for them or myself to do anything about it. I have all of my receipts & the letter from GMC about the recalls. Im sure my vehicle fits in there somewhere with these problems& truly would like 4 them 2 give my free car.

Driving down interstate 79 in pennsylvania at normal speed when my airbag light lit up and my air bag disengaged flashed, followed by more lights on the dash going on, and tracking disengaged flashed, then engine light came on, engine failure flashed as I started moving toward the right hand lane in heavy traffic. Just as I made it to the right lane my power cut out and I was going 20 - 25 mph in two seconds flat. I swerved to the berm of the road as the four wheeler semi truck that was behind me nearly clobbered me. I inched on the berm at 20 mph to the bridgeville exit and got to the colussy Chevrolet dealer where my car stopped dead in the service dept. First, they thought battery, but the battery was fine. It was ignition switch failure which caused my air bags to disengage and my losing power. I was lucky I wasn't killed!! the cost of repairs was $337 but I was told that my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer was not on the gm recall list, even though I had the exact things go wrong with the vehicles on the ignition switch recall list. And they repaired it the same way, with no guarantee that this wouldn't happen again!!! this is not a "vehicle" recall, it is a "parts" recall and my vehicle had to have the ignition switch replaced. I called the gm ignition switch recall hotline and they escalated my case up and up and everyone said the same thing. . . . They are sorry for my distress, my inconvenience but my vehicle is not on the recall list so they cannot replace the cost to repair my vehicle. Perhaps if the semi truck that was behind me killed me, they might acknowledge my safety concerns for the ignition switch (part) and not my vehicle!!!.

Since getting my car about 4 mos ago, the stabilitrak service light & indicator lights would come on, and it put the brake on by its self, the first time it did this, it scared me because I was going about 40 mph and all of a sudden the brake almost stopped me, it has done this 2 or 3 times a week since, I talked to the chevy service dept. , and they said it was safe to drive as long as I was careful, until I could get it checked out, I didn't have $80 an hr. , to do that. On 04/28/14, about 10pm while driving on wet road, it happened again, going around a slight curve, it put the brake on by its self, causing my vehicle to go into a skid, it went off the road and rolled over several times, its a total loss, thank god no one got hurt. They should not have this kind of equipment on vehicles that does this kind of thing. I hope they will fix this problem before someone gets hurt or killed.

Purchased this vehicle from a dealer. The next day the truck was dead. It has since had the battery replaced 3 times. The exhaust manifold cracked at 82,000. The number 4 position on the blower does not work. The stabiltrak lights come on for no reason and go off for no reason. With all of the complaints, something should be done.

While driving at about 60mph my abs light came on an my car started jerking as the anti lock brakes kicked in. I let up off the gas but as soon as I applied the gas it continued, I then pulled over to turn the engine off I let it sit for about 5 min an started it back up an it was fine. This has happened several tines over, an usually when I am going at a higher rate of speed. I would say it has happened at least 10x in the past year.

The contact owns a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the traction control and the low air pressure sensor lights illuminated. After inspecting the vehicle, the contact discovered that the failure occurred although the air pressure in the tires was normal and the vehicle was not experiencing a traction control issue. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired and the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 95,000.

On July 18th goldsboro Chevrolet in nc we were told could not seal that leak, because it was to far gone. So he had to order part for it, we set a date to bring back truck on July 23 2013. Then we was told they was going to use a sealant kit that he was thinking we need whole part but then he change his mind that it was not needed. We are confuse about it, because the circut board has has a mind of it on. So we do not want patch work we want a new unit, can someone please respond back to me telling us our rights, and what to do .

When I start my vehicle, the abs and brakes lights go on, security light, and radio shuts off, or is on with no sound, the 4 wheel drive light flashes back and fourth between 4 wheel and 2 wheel drive, engine shuts off, while driving, then turns back on, this is the same problem all the recalled gm cars are having why is the 2002 tralblazer not part of the recall?.

On, 6/17/12, my daughter and I were driving east bound I-96 and involved in a non-fatal injury accident btwn beech daly & inkster. The accident started in the far right lane and ended with SUV facing opposite direction of traffic, left lane of hwy. I hit a pothole, approximate diameter of a yard stick, filled with water and it seems like I lost control of the steering; almost as if the vehicle had instantly shut down. The vehicle easily completed at least a 360â° spin out. We were able to walk away with minimal injuries due to clipping another SUV tail end instantly before going straight into the cement highway divider! I didn't realize how much muscle strengthening would be involved in mine and my daughters' healing process. I have been in to see an internist, neurological surgeon, physical therapist, occupational therapist, massage therapist, not to mention all of the cat scans, mris, etc. Performed at multiple hospital locations. My vehicle insurance carrier was notified of my health insurance restrictions prior to signing with them and prior to the mvi. The redford, mi police report indicates no injuries because neither myself nor my daughter were taken away by ambulance since the injuries were not life threatening and we were both in formal attire, both bridal party members. The vehicle was towed and totaled by insurance, loan paid in full; however, apparently concerns have arose to, perhaps, to the extent of our injuries so no medical procedures have not been paid to any of the service providers, as of today's date (11/15/14). My daughter and I were picked up by another guest attendee so we weren't holding up progress, being in the wedding party and carrying all decor for afterward festivities. None of the vehicle air bags deployed and we were going 60-65mph (front, side, rear, no where)! thank you, gm, mdot and current employees for staying true to USA & mi!.

Stabilitrak/abs engaging randomly while driving at regular and highway speeds!!!! while driving on the highway at 60mph stabilitrak light comes on, vehicle reduces speed,I can not accelerate, loud grinding sound from front end, vibration felt from brake pedal when I tried to depress the brakes. I had to pull over turn the vehicle off and restart. Very dangerous and scary situation semi was behind me and had to swerve to the other lane to avoid hitting me!!!!.

I have a 2004 chevy Trailblazer and the cluster is going bad . Finding out that I'm not the only one that has this problem . I had the same problem with my chevy avalanche and it was recalled . I think that this a problem while driving . I think someone should do something before someone gets hurt. Because the gauges go out the on and while driving. It could hurt a young driver that doesn't what to do. Gm knows the problem but will not do anything about it . It the same problem that they did a recall on with the trucks. So I think they should fix this problem. So could you please help before someone gets hurt bad over this problem. Thank you please help!.

Speedometer does not give true speed sometimes and sometimes it will be right, sometimes speedometer will be at 50 mph when the vehicle is not moving. Turning. Switch off and on. Speedometer needle will go back to zero. Techometer dose not work sometimes. Have cheked on line complaints about this problem there are alot of complaints with the same problem. There should be a recall on all these vehicles.

Recently, I filled my gas tank & low fuel light warning displayed and low fuel light came on. Since then the check engine light is on steady (not blinking) most of the time. The fuel gauge floats back and forth never really letting you know it's true status. The dealers and public know about this issue- yet chevy refuses to take responsibility and fix the product. It is frustrating & nerve wracking to never know how much fuel you have at any given time, as well as the constant warning lights/ chimes during driving. This is the second serious issue I have had with this vehicle- just a month before had to repair safety issue of stabilitrak turning on at random, after twice it slowed my vehicle- without warning- on the thruway from 55 mph to about 20 mph. I had documentation of 4 trips to dealer for this concern within the first year of ownership but "the computer doesn't show a problem" so 5 years later I finally had the code show up after a close call almost accident. This concern is all over the internet as well & even with contacting Chevrolet & the nys attorney general they still only covered half the cost of the repair. Chevrolet needs to take responsibility for the safety of their products and obviously will not unless recalls are mandated- I urge you to do just that. Thank you.

The ignition will not turn off unless the bright lights are on. At times, it will start automatically even when the ignition switch is turned off. Sometimes the ignition will not turn on or off at all. Fuel system is faulty. Consistently problems have caused the fuel pump to go out repeatedly, and the fuel gauge to stop working. Motor in the drivers seat stopped working after months of problems. The radio has stopped working. We've replaced the fuse, and have been told its an electrical problem.

When driving my vehicle that speedometer on the rpm does not work, and now I was told that the computer was messed up. I have replaced the battery, and then the fuse under the seat gets really hot, and something needs to be done about it. I have even got a ticket for speeding and my speed o meter was set at 65 and I was told by the highway patrol that I was going 75.

I had gone to a friends house with my boyfriend and our 10month old daughter the car was working great on 12-31-11 at around 5pm we parked the vehicle. On our way home at about 10:45pm we got on the road car drove fine we jumped on the fwy it was foggy and really hard to see we were on the 54 fwy in san diego approaching the 805 south there is a high on ramp we were going about 55 to 60 and all of a sudden I pushed on gas and lost all power to vehicle it sounded like I was in neutral and because it was up hill and curved very difficult to see us with just hazard lights on. I was praying thinking someone was going to take us out. Every car would swerving around us and honking we finally pulled over to the side of the fwy off of the ramp and turned off car turned it back on and it gave us enough power to get to the street exit. Once there again did the same and at that point we parked and left car on the side of the road after calling a friend to pick us up since we didn't want our baby out on the street that late and on new years. I have also had several other problems ac only works on 5 back passenger panel makes clicking noise when on and back ac works when it wants to. Also rpm gauge doesn't function, car alarm is very faint when place on. I have 3 other children and 1 car and now don't know what to do since we depend on the car. We have had small problems with this car and about 5 to 6 months ago my car engine started knocking and had to be replaced however ac already wasn't working and neither was the rpm gauge. When we replaced the engine the car ran great had a lot of power and everything. This was the worst experience of my life and I thought we were going to die.

When I first purchased the vehicle a couple days later I noticed the steering columns ability to turn was very hard and making loud noises. I fought continuously with the dealership to fix the issue and finally after several attempts they agreed to fix it. Then 2 months later were driving my son to the airport and the car stopped and began to smoke, come to find out the radiator had a hole in it and there was some type of temporary stop leak stuff put in it to allow a consumer to drive for a short amount of time before the problem would arise again. So now my family and I are out of transportation and im still paying a car note on this vehicle, I feel totally taken advantage of and wonder how any dealer can go to sleep at night knowing they've been deceptive in the saling of a vehicle to a family. The truck is my children and I only way of getting around and its hard enough on me as a single mother, this is just one more problem I didnt anticipate, that was why I use grant money that I received from school to purchase (what I though) was going to be reliable transportation. This situation has really been a burden and hardship for us, especially trying to figure out how were going to get from one place to another. . Im so frustrated and saddened by the dealerships neglect, non concern, and not properly fixing vehicles before marketing them. I would like to know what I can do about this matter because I brought the car without a warranty and it was used. Please help!!!!!!.

While driving the 2008 Trailblazer I started to experience a loss of brake pedal with the travel going all of the way to the floor, with hardly any braking function or stopping action. It was intermittent and would not happen more then once or twice at first. Then when I was in a parking lot, the brakes failed again and I hit a cement divider damaging the bumper of the vehicle. You would be driving the vehicle, and step on the brakes as you would be coasting into or coming up to a stop. You would let up on the pedal then hit it again, the 2nd time loosing all brake pressure and function. I had to take the vehicle into the gm dealership for service. There were no fluid leaks, or any type of brake rotor damage. The dealership came back saying that the master cylinder had failed on the vehicle. This is on a Chevrolet truck, 4x4 that is supposed to be heavy duty off road capable package. General motors would not cover the repair under any type of warranty claim. The repair cost me close to $800, and loss of vehicle use, along with the bumper damage. I have owned over a dozen general motors vehicles to date over a 30 year period. I have never, ever had a master cylinder fail on any of them. This is a poor quality controlled component and I want g. M. To compensate me for the repairs and damages. I have raised this issue through the general motors customer service line, and they refuse to cover the repairs.

This has been going on for three years since 2011 at night at random times our low beam headlights go out on us as your driving down the highway. They may come back on before you get home but we have drove 1hr 30 minutes and still not. We did take it in serveral times and they can not fine a problem. They said they can change this n that senor but couldn't say that would even fix it. But cost us $$$$$$ why can't some one fine out do a recall we hate driving on our highbeam and so does the people we pass or get behind. We do try and turn them off when we pass other but that is dangers as well. Please help we want to keep our Trailblazer and stay alive.

Vehicles stabilitrac light comes on constantly. Repair listed for code is not the problem. Had same issue with my 2006 Trailblazer. Light comes on sporadically, even when backing out of my driveway at low rate of speed.

In 2007 I paid off my vehicle and now became the proud owner of my truck. In 2009, I noticed some problems with my truck. First, the gas gauge would say “f” full, but really it was on “e” empty. Then the mileage gauge … I can be on the expressway going as fast as the other cars, but my car reads 20 mph. This is crazy!!!! I called at 800-number for GMC and was informed that there was no recalls or any others calls for the 2005 Trailblazer, which I knew was a huge lie!!!! I decided to go on line and google the make and model of my car. Wow…guesses what I seen? there were over 41,000 people who have the same problems that I had for their 2005 Trailblazer. Again, the problem with my truck has gotten worst. In 2010, I called again and was informed that their still wasn’t any other calls or concerns with my truck and that I should take it to an authorize chevy dealership. Well, I did . . . In 2011, I called again. . Same script same story!!! I received a letter for a emission test for my car. Well, let me tell you when I took my vehicle up to the emission testing it failed!!! . I got an estimate cost of $ 1900, plus they found 3 additional codes. . Well, I got a 2008 chevy impala. I went from paying no car note, to $381. 00 a month note. The week of September 4th, 2011. . I receive a letter from Chevrolet addressing the issues with the 2005 chevy Trailblazers, and offering 50% on repairs for the same problems that I have been calling on for 2 years. Wankenia mcneal.

Stabilitrak lights on dash come on as I am leaving my driveway in the mornings and when I leave work in the evenings. This occurs when the steering wheel is turned to the right. They usually go off after stopping and restarting the vehicle. Sometimes they come on again within minutes. This problem is becoming more frequent and the lights are coming on and staying on more frequently. When I got my transmission serviced last week the mechanic pulled the code on it and it showed to be the steering wheel angle position sensor. I have found multiple instances of this same problem in automotive forums via google and it seems to be a common problem in this year model.

I purchased a brand new Chevrolet Trailblazer at the end of 2007. Since then, I have had multiple service issues with the car, most notably a faulty front axle that had to be replaced. In January 2009, my service 4wd light came on and I could not put my car into 4wd. I immedately took my car to the dealership, who could not find a problem and returned my car to me. A week later, I was driving my car in the snow in 4wd, getting ready to enter the highway, when the car stalled and the service 4wd light came on again. I returned to the dealership, who kept my car for 3 days and again could not find the problem. They returned my car to me and said "you probably got snow in your muffler". I drove my car in 4wd periodically for the next 19 months trusting that my car was safe. When the same probelm happened again at the end of Nov 2010, I took my car to a different dealership who told me I had a bad front axle and 5 bad gears that were binding, and that I could not drive my car in 4wd until this was repaired. I have also had to have an O2 sensor replaced, several body system repairs, and yesterday my service stabilitrack light came on and stayed on until I restarted the car. I have asked chevy to buy back my car, as it is clear I have a poorly manufactured and unsafe vehicle, and they have only offered to cover my body systems parts under warranty. I feel unsafe in my car and I don' t know where to turn for help.

Battery replaced.

The fuel level sensor went out and said there was no gas in the car when there was when it was still pretty new. Sometime during the trip, it would say it was full when previously it said it was near empty. Unfortunately for me I was traveling on the interstate and I had no idea how much gas I had or how much to put in the car. I could have easily been stranded alone on the interstate and put in a very dangerous situation. I also could not renew my license tag without getting it repaired in the state of GA. I thought the $400 expense after having a new car for less than 2 years for an electrial issue was ridiculously unreliable quality.

The headlights have failed. All the lights blink while you ride along. The two back doors will not lock or unlock and the front doors are starting to not lock or unlock properly. The items that let you know when a tire is low in air are failing. The last one costing over $100 to fix. I am getting very upset with the electric parts in this Trailblazer. This vehicle has had a number of electrical and /or computer problems. The first set of tires on the vehicle were worn out because the computer would say they had low pressure, so we would fill them and check them with the onboard tire pressure, otherwise it would continue to say the tires were low. The gas gauge goes from full to empty and back at least 10 times a day, they say at the service dept it's the fuel sending switch. Service stabilitrac warning comes on at various times. I think all warnings (lights and through the computer screen) have come on at least one time, some we had to stop the car and look up what the light was in the book. Now the ignition switch has something wrong, the steering wheel will not lock when the car is shut off and the key is removed. Then the car won't start unless you work the key and the switch. Today it started and then quit when you let go of the key and it goes to the run position. When you turn the key on, there is weird noise like electrical short or something. There have been problems with window switches and regulators.

Acs/ service stabilitrak light comes on while driving and to get it to go off I have to stop and turn the vehicle off and back on again. Also fuel gauge goes from full to empty even on a full tank of gas. When I turn my heat on it will only work on numbers 1-4. Number 5 is completely out. Also there's a squeak in my brakes that I cant get to go away. I replaced the rotors and brakes and had 2 new front wheel speed sensors put on because I was told that was what was causing the service stabilitrak light to come on. But that didn't fix my problem either. I have been told that because I bought my vehicle used and it had miles on it when purchased that nothing is covered under a warranty.

Driver side speaker intermittently comes on (rarely). Driver side window switch intermittently works. It used to intermittently fail, now it rarely works. Occasionally, all the driver controls on the dashboard go dead and the radio doesn't work. The lock doesn't work. The abs light and traction control light always illuminate. This intermittent electrical problem has been one big headache and it all seems to point to the drivers side window switch which is under investigation for fires. There is a defect in these window switches and the owners of the vehicles should not be burdened financially because of this.
