Chevrolet Trailblazer owners have reported 10 problems related to front seat power adjust (under the seats category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2003 Trailblazer developed a ticking when it was cold about 6 months after it was purchased in 2002. Dealer said it was normal and nothing to worry about. Now the radiator fan clutch is out and a dealer wants 790 dollars to fix it . We have 59000 miles on it now. I think everyone has had trouble with these and they should be recalled. Also the front stabilizer bar links failed about a year ago and we had to put new ones on. And the power seat mechanism broke about 5 years ago.

The driver's power seat control panel has broken off three times. I replaced it two times. This time, I have simply taken a plastic tie and fastened it more or less in place. It looks junky, but at least it is usable for a while.

Power seat on driver's side has stopped working. I am told this is either a software update/upgrade or a repair depending on who you talk to. If the dealer is willing to work with you and not take advantage of you they will do the software upgrade. If not willing to work with you they will sell you a new seat motor and charge you at least $400. 00 for installation.
Drivers seat ,left side cover with power seat control, has broken off 3 times. When getting in truck you must sit on cover. This causes the cover to break. The wiring is the only thing holding the cover on. This could cause a fire or accident.
The panel for the power seat controls on the driver's seat is designed such that it is broken loose easily by simply entering and exiting the vehicle. It's design and mounting location causes it to have to support the weight of the driver as he enters or exits the vehicle. Once the mounting supports break, the controls are only supported by the wiring.
I an complaining about the 2002 chevy Trailblazer seat which has snaped a bracket which supports the seat on the left front side! this bracket broke while I was operating my vehicle and caused me to be jogged to the side when the seat dropped! I was not hurt but the sudden jolt caused me to swerve to one side before I recovered! as it was there was no one on my left when it happened! I called Chevrolet and did not get any satisfaction!.

While driving approximately 10 mph, the driver's seat suddenly lowered to the right while making a right turn. The consumer broke one of his right ribs in the process of the seat collapsing. The steering wheel did not return to the normal position after making the turn. The cause of the failure had not been determined.
When teh rear seat are folded down there is not enought room for the driver seat when it is in easy out mode. I folded the rear seats down, and when I got out of the vehicle the front seat moved back as normal and hit the rear seat. This caused the motor or gear to break or jam, causing the power seat to not work. No repairs have been made as of yet.
Loose driver's seat back. Driver's seat back has over 2 inches of back and forth movement and makes a "clunking noise" upon acceleration / deceleration. When decelerating, the seat back moves forward causing the driver's torso to also move forward. This causes the driver to put excessive pressure on the brake pedal which causes exceptionally hard, fast, and uncontrolled stops. Since the seat belt retractor is part of the seat back, this may also cause the driver not to be properly retained to the seat in the event of a collision. Dealer was notified on 12/7/02. Ts.
2002 Trailblazer brakes failed, rotors were rusted. The motor was not functioning properly on the drivers seat. The seat would not lift up to increase the height and was making a very loud noise.
