Chevrolet Trailblazer owners have reported 5 problems related to seat broken (under the seats category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
2006 chevy Trailblazer spun out on snow while my daughter was driving. It went towards the left then immediately jerked around to the right and continued to gain speed as it launched us off the roadway and into a group of trees. The brake pedal wouldn't budge, the steering wheel continued to turn in circles not controlling the tires at all. The backseat broke apart before impact and was throwing my teenage son around in the back. The front seats broke loose as well and slammed both driver and passenger into the dash during impact. The seatbelts did not engage to lock into place like they are supposed to and despite full frontal damage and a SUV deemed totalled/destroyed by my insurance company, not a single airbag deployed or attempted to deploy. We were all trapped inside the vehicle down an embankment and all sustained injuries in the crash including cuts, bruises, whiplash, and my daughter had a concussion. My daughter had a vp shunt placed in her brain last year and could've easily died in this crash due to her injuries. Something needs to be done about these airbags and seatbelts not working!!.

Driver's side seat was broken and repaired by dealer at the time I purchased it on 22 Dec 2012. Seat unexpectedly broke again while driving on IL toll way. Nearly lost control. I am not a heavy person - 170 lbs. , and was not on very bumpy road.

I own a 2005 Trailblazer, the first problem had to do with the gas not pumping. It would cause the pump to cut off. The passenger seat's plastic side broke off and now the driver's seat is broke. The driver's lumbar selector quit working. The speedometer has stopped working. I use my gps. Then the fuel gauge quit working, the "dummy light" stays on all the time. Cd is hung up in the radio. The front fan for ac/heating quit working. The other fans work and the ac cools. Evidently there are alot of complains with this certain make/model gm should fix the problems. If they don't fix my problems my nest car will certainly not be an american made one because I haven't seen alot of pride when we have to beg to get our cars fixed when shoddy parts are used on our cars.

Driving down the road and had to stop suddenly. When the seat broke and went to the floor on one side. Pulled over and investigated and the weld on the arm of the seat control was improperly welded. The weld on the arm its self was half on the plate and popped loose. If had been going around a curve when the seat broke would probably caused a wreck. Going to have to buy a new seat and trade the vehicle off possibly. Afraid more welds could be missing or not done properly.

Driver side seat detached from seat frame recently. I turned towards the back of my chevy Trailblazer ext to talk to my kids and the right side of the drivers seat broke from the seat frame. Upon inspection, there's a flimsy piece of metal holding the seat to the seat frame. When I brought it in to the service dealer, he said the whole seat needs to be replaced at a cost of over $800. He said I can call gm to report the issue and that they may offer me a deal to split the cost since the vehicle is out of warranty. I believe this is a manufacturer's defect because it has never happened before in any car that I've owned in the past. Waiting resolution to my complaint from gm, but this is condition may lead to future accidents!!.
