1 Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System problem of the 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 04/15/2007

While slowing for a stoplight the vehicle completly shut off including the steering. The car swerved into another car's lane. After I started it again, and immediately drove to mccomb Chevrolet. They said it had something to do with the electronic computer, and reset the computer. The second time I was slowing to go around a curve and it shut off again, and the vehicle went into a ditch. My daughter bumbed her head on the side door. This time mccomb said they couldn't find anything wrong ,but maybe it was water in the fuel line. The third time I was slowing again around a curve and it shut off, and veered off the road. I have not called mccomb as of yet. This was very alarming and dangerous. I am now scared to drive it especially with my children.

3 Hydraulic Power Assist Steering System problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Failure Date: 09/12/2005

While backing out of my driveway the steering became very hard and stiff when I tried to turn left. On the same day, while making a left turn, the steering wheel became stiff again and I had trouble turning. When parking at work, I could not turn left or right without first putting serious effort into turning. Might be a bad steering pump, but most likely rack and pinion issues. Also, I checked the power steering fluid level and it was low. Steering failure may lead to a very serious accident. I have an appointment to see the car dealer about this since this is most likely covered under gm warranty.
