1 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 11/06/2019

Sitting in the parking lot waiting for my daughter to get out of school all of a sudden it smells hot then start to drive off and traction control lights and abs go wild then I pull over turn off the engine open the hood and there's smoke letting it cool the key won't reverse out of the ignition and there's no power at all.

2 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2019

Times 2- again I get the stabilitrak warning. Cruise will not work, powers down trying to excelerate. The dealership can not fix this sense there is no code coming up for it even though the warning light is on and flashing on my dash. Trying to accelerate it will power down at lights, on interstate etc.

3 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 08/04/2019

2011 Chevrolet Traverse: while driving all the lights start flashing and the vehicle turns off and on, not letting you accelerate and slowing the car down rapidly. Then the traction control turns off and vehicle idols rough. If I step on the accelerator there is no repose from the vehicle. We do not treat the vehicle hash or drive wild. I dont have the money for a lot of repairs. I change the oil when it's time and make sure its running smoothly. I have looked online and have seen many other complaints about the same issue and gm has not done anything about it. This is a major safety issue especially for someone driving at a high speed. Death is a major possibility if this were to happen in front of another vehicle. This has happened once before today.

4 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 06/12/2019

Driving my car on the street and heard 3 beeps go off and car wouldn't accelerate. Stabilitrak warning, traction control and abs lights. Tried pushing on pedal to go and car couldn't pick up speed. Turn car off let sit tried again 30 seconds later same. Had the throttle switch worked couple days and now its happen again.

5 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 05/20/2019

The vehicles control panel displays multiple errors such as engine power is reduced, park assist off, traction control off, brake (in red), abs and all the gages go up and down, automatic locks-lock and unlock all while driving on city street and highways. Attempting to pull the car over, the transmission wont go into park. Multiple times it won't start and sometimes the vehicle fails to gain speed while driving.

6 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 05/11/2019

Service stabilitrak/traction control off light keeps coming on when driving at normal speed.

7 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 03/11/2019

Traverse traction control light and brake light come on and off all the time. Making think that car is not safe to drive. All of the time that the lights come on when we arr driving in a straight line on a flat surface.

8 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2019

Reduced power on vechile with dash lights indicating check stabile track. See a lot of complaints on this. Happened 3 times finally had to replace throttle body and harness for $550. No recalls? 110,000 miles. Very dangerous to have car slow down on highway during winter conditions.

9 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/30/2019

While driving my 2011 chevy Traverse lt on highway with 130,000 miles on it when my Traverse lost acceleration and stalled out with cars flying up on me at 65-70 mph,I finally costed over to the emergency lane, had it towed to dealership and techs couldn't figure this out , after a week of service techs couldn't find the problem, I was finally notified by dealership that there's something wrong with motor and electrical and it's not worth fixing. I would like to know what I can do with this .

10 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/14/2019

My traction control light came on while driving on a dry paved road then my dash flashed traction control off, service traction control, service stabilitrak, engine power is reduced, and then it just slowed down to 10mph and I could not go any faster. I pulled over shut the car off and waited 5 minutes. It started and ran well till I got home. The next morning the same exact thing happened. It has now happened 6 times in a 72 hour period. . 11 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/07/2019

I purchased this vehicle in January 2017 with one owner having had it. Here it is now 2 years later and I have numerous problems with my vehicle. Some other owners have had but it still isn't part of a recall. The past year I have already spent over $1000 to fix it. Items already replaced include several sensors, wheel bearing, power steerig pump and a battery. What still needs replacing: rack and pinyon, shocks and struts, and I have an electrical problem. Currently, my windows go down but won't go up because there is an intermittent electrical problem and my radio cuts in and out. I am still paying for the car and no one is helping. Other users have reported some of the same thing. If I go to my mechanic he tells me there are thousands of service announcements. But when I look at my make and model there is only 4 recalls and if I go by VIN specifically there is none. This is ridiculous ! someone should help. With a car that isn't that old I shouldn't be having this many issues. I have 154,039 miles on it. It isn't safe. My window is stuck right now I'm the down position. I can move it down more but not up. I have 3 kids. My car seems to not work more than it does. Nothing like screwing over the little guy. . . Chevy number one on safety ya right.

12 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/03/2019

My Traverse has been loosing power track control cuts off and will not come back on. At times it doesn't shift gears. When the temp gets down in the 30's it messes up. Can't go vert far without it stopping. This has been going on since I've had this car.

13 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/09/2018

Traction control went haywire while going about 25 miles an hour, it started shaking uncontrollably, "traction control" light came on and went off almost immediately. Rpms revved up to 5k. It has done it 4 time within a 24 hour period. Mechanic hooked it up to the computer and it detected nothing. Only thing that showed up was that it lost connection to the transmission. When the engine revved it, it seemed like it went out of gear while the rpms went high, it felt as if I put it in neutral while going around 25 mph.

14 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/08/2018

Stability traction control system problems. I have a 2011 chevy Traverse. Problems erupted after I finished paying it off. I had this car for 7 years now and 100k miles now. For the past year the traction control system has failed multiple times. At first I took it to the dealer and spent over $3500 to fix it. A few months after the problem came back. The dealer was asking for almost $4000 stating that it was something else not fixed before. Even a mechanic from the dealership told me to get rid of it because lots of people were complaining with same issues. At first the "traction control system off" comes on the screen every time I drive for a long period of time. Followed by "service stability traction control system". Now as soon as I turn the car on the same messages appear. Just a week ago I was in the highway and "power loss warning" came out in the screen. I couldn't accelerate, thank god I was near an exit and was able to get out in time before it stopped completely. Turned off the car and waited a few mnts. Turned on again and drove off on the service road. I was not able to go faster than 10 mph. Now the car is in my driveway and I'm getting ready to get rid of it ASAP! but just noticed that I'm not the only one with such a problem. We need a recall fast. I bought this car for 47k thinking that it was going to last just like the old chevys. But this new tech is killing it! we need a recall on this fast!.

15 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 11/27/2018

Bought a 2011 Traverse a month ago with 93705 miles on it. On the drive home the lights of the dash came on and said traction control off, service stabilitrak, reduced engine power. It wouldn't go past 20 mph (mind you I'm on a busy street with my four kids). Was able to get it home and called the dealership I got it from and am waiting for a call back.

16 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 10/30/2018

Stabilitrack needs serviced , abs light on , traction control failure . Power loss . Just driving through town approximately 30 mph and all errors started flashing . This is a safety concern . I have read multiple complaints on the same issue with no results.

17 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2018

While the vehicle is stationary or being driven the traction control turns off, the stabilizer goes out, and the engine power reduces. I was on the highway and I lost power going from 65 mph down to 25-30 mph. I had to pull over and shut off the car, waited for 15 minutes and started driving again. I hadn't gone far and all the warnings came up again and power was reduced. While driving in town the same thing happens and I can be going 25 mph and the power goes down to 10 mph. Warning lights say traction 'control off, stabilizer off, engine power reduced. All of this happens while the vehicle is stationary or being driven!!!.

18 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 08/28/2018

I was driving on a highway and my car lost power, it showed "traction control off" and then "service stabilatrack" I was able to coast off the side of the road and the engine shut off and it will not restart. Had to have it towed to a repair shop and waiting to hesr from them.

19 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 08/20/2018

I have had the 2001 chevy Traverse for 1 year now. Bought it used from a chevy dealership. The traction control/ stabilitrak warning has come on numerous times over the year, but has come on every single day this past week while driving. There is no loss of power like others have reported, but it does knock out the cruise control when the warning message comes on. This sounds like a manufacturer problem and should be handled by them at no cost to the consumer. I have ready tons of complaints about this. There should be a recall.

20 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2018

2011 Traverse having a sudden loss of power and loss of acceleration followed by error messages for both the traction control and stabilitrak systems and more lights like brakes and air bag and ect. .

21 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 07/10/2018

The service traction control and stabilitrack light keeps coming on. Our vehicle is a family vehicle and when we hit a stop and try to accelerate again the vehicle lunges. Loss of speed down to 10-15 mph immediatly. We have to drive this vehicle on the highway everyday and this is seriously dangerous.

22 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 06/21/2018

Without warning, I get an alert on my information panel that stabilitrak is off and traction control needs servicing. At the same time, the vehicle downshifts hard and rapidly decelerates. Several months ago, the check engine light started coming on at random times resulting in an emission error code. The catalytic converter was replaced. A month later, same error code. This current problem happens frequently at various speeds while in motion only.

23 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 02/21/2018

While driving at least 45 mph my car was running fine when all of a sudden my locks started locking and unlocked and the car shifted so hard I am surprised I did not wreck my vehicle with my son and infant daughter. The vehicle continued to do the lock switching and numerous lights were flashing on my dash. I was scared to death nonetheless. I have had more sensors, water pump etc. That you can even begin to imagine on this vehicle. It is by far the worst vehicle I have ever owned. I will never again by a Chevrolet Traverse. Just had my car services two days ago and now the check engine light has come back on. I am not even shocked at this point. I am scared to even drive my vehicle with my kids in the car because of the terrifying experience that we encountered. I had the so called issue fixed which was a sensor.

24 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/10/2018

Check engine light for throttle bottle sensor which causes the gas pedal to stick when trying to accelerate. Service stability track and traction control off which causes the car to lose engine power while driving.

25 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/30/2017

I purchased this 2011 Traverse used in 2013 with approximately 28,000 miles on it in aurora, CO. It now has about 118,000 miles. I have had warning lights on the abs and stability control systems come on, along with error messages indicating stability control and awd are deactivated for about a week that do not reset upon restarting the car. Today, I experienced numerous losses of engine power, as though the car had dropped into neutral, while driving surface streets at approximately 30-35mph. Despite pressing the accelerator, the vehicle immediately dropped down to 10-15mph for several seconds. Research online in the Chevrolet forums indicates a throttle body issue, but shows no corporate investigation or recall into this, though many people report similar losses of power on highways at 60+mph, suddenly dropping to 10mph. I am concerned about safety in traffic if such a loss of power occurs again.

26 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/28/2017

Electronic stability control recall I was driving along at 60 mph the interstate when my engine light turned on, the first warning said traction control turned off, immediately followed by service traction control, then immediately followed by another warning light "service stabilitrack", then immediately followed by another warning "reduced engine power". The vehicle went from 60 mph immediately down to 20 mph. Remind you that we were on the interstate, in rush hour traffic. This immediately turned into a very serious situation. We are very fortunate that we were not rear ended, and cause huge pile up. We managed to make it over to the shoulder, we are still not out of danger as semi trucks, cars, are driving by us at very high speeds in low light conditions. Our car was being blown side to side from the wind force from these vehicles. My 2 year old son was in the back seat and we are very lucky we were not involved in a serious accident. We took our vehicle in to get it looked at, the mechanic could not determine the issue as the problem is only sporadic. Now a month later the vehicle gives us these warnings and has these same issues daily. We can not find a resolution. Please recall this vehicle before someone gets killed and so we drive in comfort that we will make it to our destination and safely.

27 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/21/2017

While driving my Traverse my traction control will turn off, service stabilitrak will come on and it will say engine power reduced and will slowly start to slow down. If you come to a complete stop and try to hit the gas again it will shake and kind of studder. This has happened both on a city street and on the highway. The city street was on a curvy road and the highway was a straightaway. This has only happened while in motion. In order for it to stop we would have to turn the car off for 10-15 seconds and restart in which sometimes it would stop for a while and others it would only stop for a mile or less. This is the second year it has done it and both years it has done it in the cold. Last year we cleaned the wheel sensors and it stopped but this year we have tried multiple things and nothing is working. A 3 and half hour drive home for the holidays took 7 hours in the sleet with my 3 year old at 3 in the morning. That's not okay. I'm not willing to have that happen again. Something needs to change.

28 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 12/17/2017

The car will go into reduced engine power and slow your speed with little warning while saying traction control service and stabitrac service.

29 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 11/14/2017

While driving the sensor comes on and says the stability control is off. Then turning the stability control back on by the button it resets. Then driving it again it goes back off. Some times it resets by it self by turning the car off and restarting it. Then the senor doesn't go off. Yet then the next time it is restarted it goes back off. Driving down any road no water or ice on road at all completely dry.

30 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 08/14/2017

As I was driving my traction comtrol went out and is telling me to service stabilitrack. . I just replace the throttle not even 2 years ago.

31 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 06/24/2017

June 24, 2017 driving at 70mph on 2 lane highway with outside temperature around 85 degrees and suddenly lost power, speed dropped quickly, engine light came on and stopped car on side of road. Narrowly avoided accident from sudden deceleration. Turned off engine and waited about 15 seconds and restarted engine. Drove ok after that. Had similar loss of power with warning lights of "power reduced" and engine light came on February 2017 in grocery store parking lot. Left engine off for about one hour and then restarted ok but acceleration sluggish. Took car to auto mechanic and they could find nothing wrong.

32 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 03/17/2017

To whom it may concern, I own a 2011 chevy Traverse and the timing chain broke on my wife last weekend. This was very scary for her and my kids as they were on a mountain going into a curve. She lost all control of steering and brakes. I was wondering if there are any recalls and or help from gm on getting this car repaired. To make a long story short, I am just glad my wife and kids were fine. The outcome could of been different as they described it to me. Please get back with me ASAP on this matter. I would appreciate it, by towing this back to my house and to the shop it has been a nightmare. I think it caused the motor to mess up as well. So, I am looking for help in this matter. Looks like the design of this is questionable on how this care was made and causes serious problems when a timing chain goes out. The vehicle was in motion.

33 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 02/10/2017

Traction control comes on stating traction control is off and engine power reduces to 20 mph and will not accelerate pass 20mph I was on rt 78 in NJ traveling about 70 mph when the traction light came on and reduced power to 20mph no throttle. This occurred 4 times within an hour. The third time the check engine light came on and wouldnt go off. Each time it happened I pulled to the shoulder of the roadway turned the truck off and turned it back on. This seemed to reset it but then it happened again. Very unsafe for this to happen at highway speeds.

34 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 02/09/2017

The contact owns a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. While driving approximately 25 mph uphill, the vehicle lost traction control and acceleration. The service stabilitrack and engine power reduced warning indicators illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle home. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 104,000.

35 Electronic Stability Control problem

Failure Date: 01/27/2017

A beep occurs and an error - no traction control off - service stabilitrack - engine power reduced; the vehicle has 110k miles and this have never happend before. These errors have accured when the vehicle is in motion and also right as you start it up. Dealership has offed to "try to fix" the issue for the tune of $5000 however they do not know if it will actully fix the issue. So chevy what are you going to do about this?.
