Traverse came to sudden stop in middle of road with no warning. Tow to mechanic who found there was no oil. Zero oil leaks located; appeared to have burned all oil in between oil changes. Traverse had 81k miles and was just a few months outside of the power train warranty at time. Almost 7 thousand dollars spent on new engine. We also own a 2009 Chevrolet malibu with 72k miles that we recently discovered had no oil on dipstick in between oil changes. Added two quarts of oil, which only got it to bottom of dipstick. We have now heard many examples (friends/family) in which this is happening to Chevrolet's with under 100k miles.
