The steering has a whining noise and the brake has a squeaky noise that both feel unsafe to drive. Many owners have experienced these issue on Buick enclave, Saturn outlook, chevy Traverse and GMC acadia as well as others. Tl the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. While driving 10 mph, the contact heard an abnormal noise coming from the steering column whenever the steering wheel was turned. The failure occurred without warning. The vehicle was taken to waldorf Chevrolet and Cadillac (2298 crain hwy, waldorf, MD 20601) where it was diagnosed that the steering gear was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 40,485.
