Traction control light comes on and then my vehicle keeps jerking as I drive and a stabilizer track notification light comes on.
This has happened three times . First time I was driving my vehicle on the street and randomly turned off . The second time this happened I was driving on the freeway at 66 mph & it randomly turned off and the speed was reduced on seconds. This incident was very dangerous to the point were I almost got hit with my family in the vehicle I needed a tow truck to take me home and it was super risky and dangerous because other vehicles were passing about 2 ft away from us and at a high speed. Third time this happened I almost got hit again due to the random shut off and loss of velocity and this time it was a very small gap and space I had and cars kept honking and cars were passing at a one ft distance . Once the lights turn on , on the dash board when it's barely a warning and recently pop up the vehicle automatically randomly turns off . The lights I get on the dashboard are stability track , traction control off , engine power is reduced , service stabilitrak, and check engine light . Has not been inspected .
While driving my car, the instrument panel just went blank. My gages all read 0. No speedometer, no battery voltage, no fuel level. The driver information center also shut off. Blinkers would not work, door lock/unlock button did not work after stopping the car. The engine never felt like it lost power and my car would still drive but I could not signal or see how fast I was going.
While driving, check engine light went on, stabilitrack and traction control went off (information from driver information center) and power was reduced. This occurred several times a week and vehicle slowed down dramatically and had to be driven slowly from the roadway. This was a dangerous situation. After safely stopping, I was able to resume travel after turning off engine and restarting, although check engine light would remain on for several on/off cycles. Engine stored code p1682. This has also happened while at a stop and when the accelerator was pressed, the vehicle would stall (sometimes in middle of intersection).
Automobile suddenly starts trembling while reducing velocity on its own and turn on trac off light, check engine light is on.
I have been receiving warning messages on my dashboard regarding service the stabilitrak, followed by traction control off message and then vehicle shaking, losing steering power and engine shutting down for over a year. The issue occurs randomly making it difficult to repair. I have had it serviced multiple times by different mechanics and no one has been able to find a solution due to the random nature of the issue. This poses a risk to the vehicle occupants safety because when unexpectedly and suddenly losing engine power, steering and traction control all at the same time, it is very difficult to safely merge to the shoulder of a roadway. I have been left stranded in many locations including out of town. Due to my research this is a common issue with this vehicle that can be caused by multiple issues. I also have a recall on my air bag and warnings have appeared on my dashboard that has no remedy yet. The vehicle is not safe to drive and I depend on this SUV to transport my family of 7. I am also still financing, making it difficult to keep up with payments while trying to diagnose/ repair.
Traction control said off light on. Car shut down power failure. Car shaking as it stopped in traffic almost causing an accident. Barely made off road. I have seen other multiple complaints and no way to fix this problem. It is a death sentence on the highway. With no other transportation for me.
2014 chevy Traverse lt. Randomly driving on the freeway @ 60-65mph going uphill it started losing power. It started stuttering/coughing. The traction control off and service stabilitrak lights flashed. I finally got it home and shut it off. The next morning it drove fine. Then it happened agai a few days later. I replaced the throttle body after it was diagnosed as the problem. On the way home it did the same thing. It wasn't the throttle body. Now they can't find out what is wrong with it. There are no codes. The service repair guys say it is overheating in the shop but not when they drive it and they don't know why. There are no codes. I told them it was random. If I am driving on the interstate and have these problems and have to turn off the engine and sit for any amount of time is dangerous. Especially if the heat is over 100 degrees as it has been. I'm not sure if it is related to this problem, but my control panel lights go from dim to light randomly. I can't see anything on them during the day when dim. No warnings etc that may flash.
Stabilitrak light was on, then the alarm said traction control off, the check engine light came on. The Traverse certainly has recall problems that need to be looked into, it is a family car. I have provided a you tube link that explains and shows the problem, https://youtu. Be/hbvaoiixnxy I have the same problem on my car.
While driving the vehicle the engine will cut out. The truck will stutter and the check engine light will go on. A message will appear on the display: service stabilitrack, traction control turned off. A secondary message will display as reducing engine power and then the truck will stall. This has happened on several occasions while in traffic or driving down the highway in normal driving conditions. It has been occurring more frequently. Once the vehicle sits for 20 to 30 minutes it will usually start back up. The check engine light remains on. Once the vehicle is parked overnight the check engine light usually goes off. I have seen that this is a common complaint with this vehicle. I fear for the safety of myself and my family as this can happen at any time. We have almost been rear ended by a tractor trailer doing 65 mph on the highway. Luckily I was able to coast the vehicle to the side of the road where it had to be towed. It was looked at by a service station and they were unable to diagnose any problem. The most recent occurrence was 1/20/21 while driving on city streets.
This is the second time this has happened while driving along at highway speeds unexpectedly get error messages, service traction control, service stabilitrak, traction control is off, engine power is reduced. The first time I was able to drive to a dealership. The second time I lost all power and was lucky that I was in a residential zone.
While driving on the highway at 65 mph the stability control sensor, abs sensor, and all wheel drive went out all at once, when that happened the car by itself went to 35 mph on the highway and would not allow the car to go over 35 mph.
The airbag needs service going on and off but doesn't show a code at dealership. While driving speed reduces to 15mph out of nowhere once restarted no codes show. Car dies while driving randomly. No check engine lights coming on just extremely dangerous to drive.
Driving on the expressway and the following happened; reduced engine power, service stabiltrack, service traction control warning lights came on while driving at approximately 70mph. The vehicle almost came to a dead stop with traffic behind me along and with opposing traffic. I engaged the vehicle in neutral and coasted to the shoulder with my hazards on. I tried to remain calm with my family in the car since it was almost life or death, I searched the web for an answer and I found that if I turn the car off for a few minutes it would go away, I did that and the issue went away for the time being but it has also reoccurred numerous times since then.
My wife was driving with our three children traveling approximately 60 mph. Her 2014 Chevrolet Traverse suddenly dropped to approximately 5-10 mph and she was forced to swerve off the road, nearly being rear-ended and seriously injured or killed. The check engine light came on, as well as, the engine power reduced light. Just as she made it to the shoulder of the road, the car shut off completely. She tried multiple times to start the car, but had no success. After about 30 minutes of being stranded on the shoulder of the road with my three children, she was able to start the car and drive to the nearest area to safely wait for a tow truck. This is the third time this has happened within the last five months! we have taken it to several different mechanics, including the Chevrolet dealer, and spent a lot of money trying to get it resolved but have had no success. We will no longer put our children in the car which was the reason we purchased it in the first place. This car is unreliable and unsafe and needs to be issued a recall. My entire family was almost killed or seriously injured because of this default in this vehicle.
As I'm driving the check engine comes on, then the truck starts to lose acceleration, then it starts flashing stabiltrak off, traction control off and then it completely shut off! this is the 10th time this has happened within a year!! have tried many small fixes and nothing works.
My electronic stability control comes on and off its loose. I push it back in pops out. The tcm female connector/adaptor is faulty and I was told I would have to buy a completely new harness which is ridiculous. The locking mechanism doesn't hold in place so it loses connection to the tcm trans module. And when I contact my local chevy dealer they want me to but a new harness which I $600+++ and the clip/adapter/connector is $22-$29. If im on the freeway my speed can drop to 20mph. On the 215 freeway.
Was at a traffic light near my job when my car suddenly shuts off, never happened before so as I try to restart it wouldn't start at all. I caused a lot of traffic due to this. Living in nyc that's a big no no. As I looked on the dash while keep trying to get it to start different light started to come on the car was going out of wack. Finally a food cart guy seen me and helped me out by jumping my car with his food cart battery talk about embrassing Chevrolet needs to deal with this problem, never knew it was a common issue until I google and this problem happen to many people but yet there's no recalls. I am very disappointed and makes me want to give this car back.
After making a right turn while driving in traffic in a school zone traction control went off then on check engine light went on service stabilitrak flashed engine power is reduced flashed had to pull over and restart car, engine light remained on ecm was replaced less than 3 yrs ago for the same thing at ed morse sawgrass in sunrise, FL.
2014 Traverse will suddenly shut down and not move. Flashes service stabilitrac, traction control off, reduced engine power. My vehicle has shut down multiple times including driving on the freeway with my two children in the car. After turning the car off and finally being able to turn it back on again, I am able to get the traction control to say on and to move my car. This last time the steering wheel locked up and my car wouldn't start for almost 10 minutes, with me and my children sitting in the middle of an intersection.
My vehicle will first stall and slow down with engine power reduced and something about the traction control and stability track going across the dash right before my vehicle stops on me. This happens frequently at any moment and now I am unable to start it back up. I was told by pep boys that it is an electrical problem, with codes reading a shortage in the fuse box. I checked the web for any recalls and saw that others were having the same issues, yet no recalls. This is dangerous because my vehicle stops at any moment in the middle of a drive, even on the highway. Now I am without reliable transportation in my 2014 Traverse. I love my vehicle, but gm needs to fix this issue.
The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the stability trac and traction control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle loss motive power and stalled. The contact pulled to the side of the roadway, restarted the vehicle and the vehicle regained some normal functionality. The contact stated that other functions took up to an hour to start working as designed. The contact stated the failure had occurred approximately 100 times. The contact had the fuse box replaced after being advised by a certified mechanic that the fuse box should be replaced however, the failure persisted. The contact took the vehicle to fuccillo Chevrolet of grand island (2000 alvin rd, grand island, NY 14072, (716)773-7505) who repaired the brake pedal however, the failure persisted. The contact returned the vehicle to the dealer who stated the brake sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
My car decided recently to start acting weird and the engine power went low and traction control went off and then my car would barely run. It says it could be the throttle body. It had done it twice since Saturday and starts running ok afterwards but want to see what's wrong and why it just started doing this. Never had any trouble till then.
Driving on a main rd only going about 40mph and the cars start beeping and stability traction light comes on and engine power source reduced pops up. The car starts jerking and shaking like it was going to shut off out of no where.
Fuse box-! with no warning, a system was triggered to drop engine power dramatically plunging from 65 to below 20. This happened to me 2 times on a major highway surrounded by trucks endangering my family as I could not climb above 20mph and had to scramble to get over and not be a hazard. While the dealer initially couldn't find the problem- chevy mechanics told them to check for a specific tripped fuse- that ruins the whole box. The problem is so prevalent- the part is indefinitely on back order. This is a potentially deadly situation.
This past Friday, I was traveling in the highway at 60mph then the car starts beeping, with immediate loss of power within seconds, down to 20mph. Error messages start flashing, the car starts shaking. Almost got hit by the person behind me as I wasn't braking, so they, nor myself, had no indication my car was about come down to a crawl. I pulled over, turned off the car, gave it a minute, restarted, and the car was back to normal and I was able to get home. The engine light remained, but it went away before I could get it to the dealer (within 3 miles), dealer is around 8 miles away. This is the 4th incident with this similar issue. Once we were waiting on a turning lane, the car started beeping, shaking, displaying errors on the dashboard, loss of power again to a crawl. We pulled over to the first parking lot in the intersection. Turned of the car, restarted and it was fine again. Then again right after putting gas. Got into the car to leave the gas station, car was beeping, shaking, displaying error messages on the dash. Turned it off, restarted and it was fine. Another time, I was approaching a light to make a right turn, the engine stalled right before I was to turn. I had to put it on part to restart the car, once it started, it ran fine. I'm afraid to drive the car in the highway. I have a 45 minute commute to work everyday. I always have to keep to the right lane in case the car acts up. The error messages that display are "service stability tract, engine power reduced, tracking control turned off" and maybe one other one. I've seen the message boards and it's happening to many owners and for several years! it is dangerous to drive like this. This should have been addressed years ago.
While driving the car, it happens to loose power and it is very difficult to wheel and move the car . It stops in the middle of the freeway and service traction control comes up , then service stabilitytrak and then traction control off . It has to be turned off and then wait and restart it again , with a check engine.
While driving, car slows to 25mph and dash flashes between the following warnings: service stabilitrak, traction control off, service traction control, power engine reduced. The check engine light and traction control light also turn on at this time . This has happened 5 times so far. I have been driving on the highway and on side streets when this happens. This is very dangerous and could cause an accident easily.
My wife has a 2014 chevy Traverse with 60,000. The traction control and stabilitrack warnings came on the dashboard. This happened 3 times in four weeks. Once the power was reduced and the car would not accelerate. We were on a city street with light traffic and once the car stopped completely. Thank god she was in a parking lot when it happened. I have taken it to the dealer each time we get the messages. The said that they could not find anything wrong and come back if it happens again. The changed a fuse on the last visit. It has happened again and it is in the shop right now.
Vehicle was in motion when suddenly lost power and started flashing these warnings, traction control service, park assist off, stability control service.
While driving the reduce engine speed, traction control, stabili-trac, and the check engine light flashes. The engine speed was reduced to a crawl. This has happened three times now and the speed doesn't seem to make a difference 30mph - 65mph. While we have been able to turn the car off and get it to drive home after 5 mins, it is dangerous because it happens while driving at higher speeds in the middle of traffic.
While driving on the highway the traction control, stabilitrak warning indicator comes on and then immediately reduces power to the vehicle. This is extremely dangerous. You could be driving normal highway speeds of 70 mph and then all of a sudden the vehicle goes into this traction control, stabilitrak mode and basically shuts the car down. This has happened several times to me and will only clear this mode if the vehicle is turn off and sits for a while and then restarted.
Engine power reduced, service stabiltrak, traction control off messages appear after driving car over 30 min. Engine light comes on and stays on along with stabilik track light. No codes being rpeorted when taken to dealer 2x. Happened 5x in a 20 minute drive, doing 55-60mph and drops to 20 mph with hardly any steering ability. Battery gauge drops below average, car idols like it is going to stall. Pull over, turn key off, rest starts up again with engine light still on. Very dangerous situation. Cleaned throttle from any build up (hardly any) checked fuses, however did not check wiring to fuse box (may be the issue) problem has been going on since June 2017. Dealer depending to much on diagnostic code reader, which it is not recording. Only one was p1682 and they said it was fine.
Was driving on the intestate when car started to put and not wanna move stabilitrake and traction control lights came on check engine light flashed and would not accelerate at all with my child in car is very unsafe and keeps happening and dealership can not find anythibg wrong this is clearly a problem and needs fixed.
Car lost throttle control. Engine remained running, but car just lost power with no throttle response. Has happened several times now at different speeds. Dealership cleaned throttle body and reset cpu, but it happened again the next day, turning vehicle off letting it sit for a minute does remedy the problem temporarily, but eventually happens again with no warning which could be very dangerous on the highway. Date below was the last time it happened, I would have to look for the first time which was over a year ago after we had the break booster replaced under warranty. The traction control light comes on when this happens.
