Engine Clicking And Tapping Noises problems of the 2015 Chevrolet Traverse

I was driving on the interstate at 60 miles per hour. The car jarred forward , made a popping sound and lost power andthe engine speed dropped. I got off the interstate the car shut down and would not go. The stability trac came on the dash as well as the check engine light. I turned the car off for about 15 seconds and the car started and I drove home. I looked this up on youtube and found out the car does not keep a memory of the code the car throws when this happen. After the car sits all night it "resets" itself and the engine light goes off. This is the third time this has happened and I was lucky it did not stall in the middle of the interstate . This is a huge safe issue I haul my child and granddaughter in this vehicle. This is a serious safety issue and chevy knows about it. Get it fixed, do a recall.

Purchased vehicle on February 1st and within week of ownership, vehicle was making sparking/clicking sound under hood. Gm dealer found "the hormonic balancer creating static electricity and arching causing sound. " claims he never seen or experience this in 35 years of doing service. Dealer charged $300 in labor alone to replace.

The vehicle was then towed back to the dealer where it was re-diagnosed that the harmonic balancer failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer provided case number: 83298884002 and informed the contact to follow-up with the bbb. The approximate failure mileage was 57,870.

Recently leased vehicle is a hazard! on different occasions when driving, the vehicle accelerates, decelerates and brakes on its own. Transmission caught on fire with no prior warning. The vehicle can not drive straight, it does not move when placed into reverse and sounds like a car badly out of shape. Report returned shows that the transmission caught on fire with no root cause found, steering wheel and alignment where needed, several pieces known as clutches/pats had to be replaced. All these issues presented driving in street traffic under 40mph and in short distances.
