There is an open recall on my 2016 Chevrolet Traverse that I have been trying to get resolved for almost 2 years. I finally opened a case with gm (#{xxx]) back on February 15, 2026 in an effort to escalate the repair. I received a call from a gm rep who has been less than helpful telling me the recall was completed in February of 2024 at a dealership in south carolina. I explained to him that my vehicle is housed in florida and has never been to south carolina. It is clear he is not interested in finding a resolution to my issue. He calls once a week to inform me he's working on it and will get back to me next week. This has been going on for a month. My grandchildren are often passengers in this vehicle and I have major concerns for their safety. It should not take 2 years to get this issue resolved. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

My vehicle has had issues starting off and on with in the last year of having the vehicle. I replaced the battery and alternator. And now we think it's the neutral safety switch. I went to go check the recalls and I see that I had a recall on the front air bag module needs replaced too. I have not received anything in the mail by the dealership or calls.

Nothing has happened currently but I have reported this issue to have it serviced and was told that since the status is stuck in limbo there is nothing I can do, this isn’t safe for me nor my family taking that risk every day as a every day driver.

I would like the recall defect fixed on my vehicle. It’s been a year since the recall came out. It’s a serious recall involving possible loss of life and no consumer should be exposed to this deadly risk. Make gm move forward and quickly fix this defect in its cars.
Concerned that the airbag recall has been a known death threat for over a year with still no replacement parts. If the parts can't be procured I should be provided a new equivalent car, shouldn't I? it's anxiety inducing to know I could be killed by supposed safety features in my vehicle.

There has been a recall regarding the airbags for a year now and there's still no remedy available. This is a safety recall that they say could result in death of driver if the airbag module were to explode. This needs to be repaired.
Recall was reported 5/10/2023. I have brought my vehicle to chevy dealership. Remedy still not available. I am driving with risk of air bag inflator rupture and metal shrapnel. I feel as if this is an unsafe situation and chevy is not offering any solution.

We have tried several times to get a new airbag installed. In fact, we had an early morning appointment with concord Chevrolet to have new airbags installed that were recalled. Sounds dangerous to us if we should be in an accident that they would fire metal parts at us risking our lives. My husband took the car in as promised, and when he got there they said they didin't have the replacement airbags. What is going on? it's been months now. We drive the car and pray that we don' get iin an accident needing airbags. Chevrolet has got to furnish them soon! no more waiting around. Is there any other place where we can find them???.

June 2023 I received notice of a recall. As of today the parts for recall are still unavailable with no eta. This is taking too long while putting me, a driver, at risk of injury or death if airbag goes off.
No issue has occurred yet. However, I was told to file a complaint due to the slowness of the recall fix. The recall occurred in June 2023 and nearly 9 months later there is still no remedy available.
