Wiper problem #1

When driving early in the morning to drop off my kids to school, we are driving on a highway, crossing a bridge, no cars on either side, no houses either, when all of a sudden the rear left window has a loud pop, and then shatters completely. This was an exploding window out of no where, with nobody around and no other cars near by to cause this accident. The glass fell all over my body and I could not move until the vehicle was safely pulled over. This was concerning because my 1 year old was sitting next to me and the glass could have fell onto them if they were sitting right next to the window just like I was, and that was a safety concern. I called the dealership to let them know what happened right before my eyes and they said there was nothing they could do for an explosive window. I asked if there was issues with this happening to other people with an 2023 Chevrolet Traverse, and provided my VIN, they said no recalls so again, nothing they could do. I mention maybe a default in defroster or manufacturing issue of installation problem, and they just said no over the phone. They did mention they had another lady who came in with the same problem, a window shattering for no reason while driving, but that “things like that happen normally”. Despite having other people with the similar issue, I was given the cold shoulder with no resolution.

Sun/moon Roof Assembly problem #2

The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving 63 mph with her son in the front passenger’s side seat, she heard a gunshot like sound and noticed that the sunroof glass had shattered. The contact stated that the shade guard was closed at the time of the failure; however, while the contact continued driving, the shade guard raised up, allowing broken pieces of glass to fall inside the vehicle. The contact pulled to the side of the road for a moment. The contact stated that she sustained a cut on the right hand. The contact did not seek medical assistance. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was informed that she would be contacted with 72 hours. The dealer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.
