Air Bag problem #1

I was in t-boned on the passenger side of my vehicle. All side air bags went off but did not deflate. I had to crawl onto my floor to get out of the vehicle. Also when the emergency collision park kicked in it locked my doors so had I been unconscious I would have been locked in the car.

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 mph through a green light, another vehicle failed to yield at 50 mph for a red light due to being impaired, causing a collision in which the contact’s vehicle was t-boned. No warning lights were illuminated before the crash. The front and side curtain air bags failed to deploy. The contact reported that no injuries were immediately sustained, and no medical attention was provided at the scene. However, the contact was later transported to a local emergency facility and diagnosed with a back injury. A police report was filed. . The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the air bags, service brakes, and battery of the vehicle had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 13,000.
