As described by hundreds, if not thousands, of other owners. . . Obdii codes p0008 and p0017, in conjunction with "service stabilitrack, awd disabled, traction control off". We have replaced multiple sensors, replaced throttle body(and sensor), replaced driver front wheel hub assembly (magnet that has to do with sensor came off). The above two codes persist. Purchased used vehicle with 118xxx miles and within a year these codes appeared. Took vehicle to dealer, who insisted it was timing chain, with estimate of $2300. However, second and third opinions disagreed. . . Suggesting sensor issues, throttle body issues, etc. Why has the timing chain or tensioner not been recalled, if this is the issue? fortunately, our vehicle does not go into limp mode. . . However, we've been told this could happen in the future. Would greatly appreciate it if the NHTSA would do a deeper dive and generate a recall. Going to address camshaft bank sensors next before possibly replacing timing chain and/or tensioner. Additionally, problems with moisture issue of unknown location that causes the stereo speakers to not work. On sunny, warm days, stereo speakers work fine. . . Any moisture, no speakers.

I just purchased this vehicle 2 weeks ago from taylor Chevrolet. It has already been in the dealership twice for some sensor issues that they knew about when it was sold to me and said they were going to fix when "a part came in" they never called so I had to contact them when the truck started having issues. This is where I have the biggest problem I almost lost my life today when a semi almost hit me while driving because the stabilitrak system completely went out which apparently is an issue on these trucks that is not being addressed. The control panel is displaying service stabilitrak and engine losing power. I lost a day of work so far and need my vehicle to maintain my bills and keep my job. This all happened one day after getting my truck back from being serviced.

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact stated that while driving approximately 60 mph, the stability trac and traction control warning lights illuminated. The vehicle loss motive power and stalled. The contact pulled to the side of the roadway, restarted the vehicle and the vehicle regained some normal functionality. The contact stated that other functions took up to an hour to start working as designed. The contact stated the failure had occurred approximately 100 times. The contact had the fuse box replaced after being advised by a certified mechanic that the fuse box should be replaced however, the failure persisted. The contact took the vehicle to fuccillo Chevrolet of grand island (2000 alvin rd, grand island, NY 14072, (716)773-7505) who repaired the brake pedal however, the failure persisted. The contact returned the vehicle to the dealer who stated the brake sensor needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.

There are continuous defects and concern for safety regarding my 2019 chevy Traverse. I purchased a new 2019 Traverse redline on March 22, 2019 and the problems began within two weeks and less than 400 miles on the vehicle. I was driving my new vehicle on a residential road and began to slowly press the brake while approaching a stop sign when the service brake assist alert appeared, the brakes made a grinding and clicking noise while shaking and felt like the brake pedal needed to be pushed all the way to the floor to stop. I brought the car in and the service department replaced a vacuum booster sensor which they said was faulty. Then two months later, with only 1800 miles on the vehicle, the same issue occurred again where the service brake assist alert appeared, the brakes made the same noises and shaking. I immediately called the dealership to bring it in for service. During this second occurrence, the service department suggested it must have been a bad batch of parts and offered to replace the sensor again. I returned to the dealership to pick up my vehicle and during the less than two mile drive home, the same issue occurred for the third time. I immediately returned to the dealership again and the service department said they didn't know what was causing the problem. After replacing the same part for a third time, the same issue occurred again. Ultimately, the service technicians & engineer are unable to identify the root cause of the issue and merely suggested replacing the same part for the fourth time. While the service manager has offered to continually replace the same parts, they also are unable to identify the root cause and stated I need to continue driving the vehicle until it happens again and perhaps there will be a new part updated in the future.

After about 1000 miles the brakes started grinding, and alert would pop up to service them and they would be a heavy vibration as the antilock brakes would be kicking in even at very low speeds. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership where they replaced all of the brake sensors, after another two weeks it started happening again they replaced the wiring harness because they said it had a short in it . Both times I was told the parts on national backorder which led me to believe this is a large problem. It has now happened the third and fourth time but I have not had time to bring it back to the dealership. I lost almost 2 weeks of having the car in the first two months that I've owned it. It now has 3500 miles on it. The problem is happening at 5 mph and even on the highway every time the brakes were touched.

Stabilitrak control, anti lock brakes and engine speed reduced. Wife's car while on her way to work. There are hundreds if not thousands of consumers with this exact same issue with various makes/models of gm vehicles. Once the throttle body / throttle positions sensor becomes dirty, it sets off a series of failures causing the vehicle to reduce power to the point where it can only travel at about 35 mph. This is a very dangerous situation to place drivers in. I called my local Chevrolet dealer to inquire about whether or not this was covered under the 5 year 100,000 mile power train warranty and was told that it was. When the dealer verified that it was the throttle body, they told me that it would cost me about 500 dollars and that it was not covered under the powertrain warranty. This is a vital engine component. How can it not be considered to be part of the power train?.
Vehicle was 2011 chevy Traverse w/ awd with history (four instances) of engine oil leeks/requiring engine removal and reinstall. Vehicle was on interstate when awd/vehicle stability control lights went on. Dic indicated 'service stabiltrack', 'service awd' and 'awd disabled'. At that time, vehicle was 'chugging' but shortly after chugging got much worse to the extent that the vehicle could not accelerate or maintain speed at cruise, or without cruise up normal hills on an interstate. When gas pedal was pressed further, rpm/speed would increase but then drop sharply (500-1000rpm) multiple times and no further power could be applied. Vehicle slowed down to about 50mph at the top of a hill. Happened for the next 15-20 miles until it could be pulled over. Vehicle was taken in once right after original occurrence, all three lights had gone off at point and vehicle drove normally after that. Service center indicated a wheel censor (front right) was reading defective information. They cleaned 'dust' from the sensor. Happened again about two weeks later, similar circumstances/results. Service center indicated wheel sensor was bad, they replaced (at my cost) and had no further instances for about four months. Similar situation happened again today (7/19/2014, conditions and results). However, the engine chugging was much worse and vehicle could not be driven safely on the interstate, would not accelerate or maintain safe interstate speed.
