Defroster/defogger/hvac System Condensor/evaporator Problems of Chevrolet Trax

The contact owns a 2025 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed in hot weather less than a month after purchasing the vehicle brand new, the a/c became inoperable. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the evaporator coil had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the part was on backorder. The dealer advised the contact to obtain a rental vehicle in the meantime, and that the manufacturer would reimburse the vehicle rental expenses. The contact declined and was provided a temporary vehicle. The vehicle was repaired under warranty after a month. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,400.
