The contact was informed that the diagnostic test indicated two lost connections, and the electrical system was reset. After the system reset the message "service side detection system" was displayed. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The contact stated that the forward collision avoidance system engaged without any objects nearby. While at a stop, the automatic stop/start feature became inoperable. The vehicle was turned off with the key outside the vehicle, but the radio failed to turn off. Additionally, there was a lot of static in the radio. The steering wheel buttons were inoperable.
