Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of Chevrolet Trax

I have had my 2019 Trax for a little over a year now and I have had nothing but problems with the radio the radio in my car has stopped working at least 8 or 9 times (when I am driving and when I am parked. When I bring it to the dealer they say they cannot find anything wrong with it unless it does it for them. It goes out while I am driving all the time for 5 to 10 minutes at a time and today when I went to start it the whole display screen was gray and then it went to black. I could hear the stations but I had no display for at least a 1/2 an hour. I am really not happy with this problem and because it does not do it when I bring it to the dealer it does not happened. I am very unhappy with this problem and I do not know if I will by another Chevrolet again. I have contacted Chevrolet direct and they tell me they can't do anything about it until it happens for them. Bad business if you ask me!.

On 2/17, I purchased a 2018 chevy Trax. The engine light came on 12/20/19 therefore I took it to the dealership. The diagnostics revealed two problems but only one was covered under the warranty. Problem 1. Turbo leaking at joint to inlet coupler (covered). Problem 2. Oxygen sensor defective (not covered). I have 63,676 miles on my Trax and I was told that the warranty expired at 60,800 miles on the oxygen sensor. My car is only 1,400 miles over the warranty and I am experiencing so much problems. Also at times while driving the visual screen goes blank therefore the radio and reverse camaca does not work. There was also a recall on this vehicle and the dealer took care of it free of charge. I am so disappointed about my vehicle because it is not even two years old yet and so much problems. This car must be a lemon.

I own a 2019 chevolet Trax. . . I have taken it back three time for the shreaking sound every time I go in the drive way and ride on the street. I took a saleman with me on the ride and he heard it. . But when he told me to go to the service department they claim they didn't here it. . . Even when a technician went with me he said he didn't here it but I did. . . I ask him do he want to drive the car, because it was comming from the driver side, he didn't want to. . We went back and he told them he did't here anything. But yet the salenan heard it. . . The noise get on my nerve so I turn the radio up not to here it. I traded that car from a 2017 rax to a 2019 Trax, I would not realize I would have the same problem. . The 2017 was new just like the 2019, but they found out on the new 2017 it was the struts that was bad. . . I really hate that car. . The 2019 was value at 10,000 dollar when I tries to trade it end. And I owe 24,000. 00. It have 12,000 mile on it. It don't drive smooth at all. It shake sometime when I am on the highway. . I know it have a recall on it. But of course they said mind wasn't affected. But that noise I hear is comming from that part they check on. . . I told the saleman, I guess the noise or whatever I am hearing got to get worst like the other Trax that I had. . . . Before they do anything about it. . . It is hard to trade in because I am upside down on it. That to much of a different to. Put on another car. . . The car is alway in motion. I am really scare the car is going to break down on driver side where I hear the noise. . If the 2017 had strut problems. This 2019 might have the same problem.

When I get on highway doing faster speed my car is very loud inside like a bad air leak coming from back somewhere. This is very annoying can't use blue tooth phone because you cannot hear to have a conversation or hear the radio at a normal volume because it is so loud. Had I known this I would have never bought this vechicle.

Got this vehicle on 07/23/2016, the vehicle had major issues until 09/2018. In September 2018 I took the vehicle to the original lot to have it inspected as when switching the fan for the a/c from 3 to 4 on the blower motor settings stopped working. My dealership replaced the original blower motor. Along with that I was having the issues of the center console (radio unit) and the dash (where the speed, mileage, etc. . . Is) would go out will driving or not turn on at all and the back up camera wouldn't turn on go. They re-installed the computer software and updated the system and sent me on my way. In 02/2019 I started having the same issues, back up camera and center console not working, and dash turning off and not coming on. Also when I took the key out of the ignition and got out of the car and locked the door and the car was still running. The radio was still playing and the car was still running even though there was no key in the ignition and it was not remote started. I called the dealership that morning to bring the car in that night for service the next day. They kept the Trax for roughly 1 week. The installed a new radio, re-flashed and updated the computer, and re-installed the back up camera software. I picked the car up drove roughly 3 miles and brought it back same hour due to it having the same issues. They kept it another 3 days and I got it back after about 2 weeks of work at the dealership. As of 06/11/19 I had to take the car back in for the same issues: dash going out, radio going out, back up camera not working, and the Trax still running with no key in the ignition. I called on 06/12/19 they stated the car would not communicate with the diagnostics computer and they would have to replace the radio they installed 4 months ago. Part was ordered and over-nighted but never came in on 06/12/19. Waiting to see if I can return this lemon of a car now.

I purchased a new 2019 chevy Trax after trading in my 2016 Trax. I had been driving it for about two weeks when my radio, turn signal, phone calls and onstar (not sure about back up camera) was affected by some glitch. The sound went away from my turn signal, all the radio channels, no sound but could receive phone calls and tried to call onstar per sales rep to do a diagnosis but the call could not be heard. The onstar call could not be disconnected. The eventual fix to this was I took it to the dealership and the sales rep did a factory reset in the settings. This brought it back. I had a similar issue in my 2016 Trax that blacked out the screen completely and took away any sound from it and my signal. It eventually came back after a shop played around with it. Second issue which fell under a warranty repair was that I noticed not long after buying that there was a high pitched squeal coming from my drivers seat when stopping and hitting bumps. I thought at first the springs needed breaking in. It ended up being the bolt at the back right of the seat that attached it to the floor. Come to find out it was crooked and completely stripped which was causing the seat to bounce around. It was also found out during repair that a second bolt was starting to do the same thing. This was a brand new vehicle straight from the factory. I was told by the service dept that vehicles from the factory aren't state inspected. This seems to be an unsafe method.

The radio does not display the outside temp. The buttons on the stearing wheel does not work to change the channel.

Even after removing the key from the ignition, the car will chime like the key is still in it. After the allotted 10 mins, the radio will not automatically turn off which in turn is killing the battery. The key fobs will no longer work due to the car thinking the key is still in the ignition.

Nov 2015 radio continues to play after I exited and walked away, this happen 2-4 additional times. Nov. 2015 after a heavy rain there would be static in the radio, the inside door panel would be wet. 11/21/15 the inside windshield had condensation and frost, the videos provided will show 2 additional times the condensation inside was present. March 2016, check engine light came on and remained on for a few days. The following events all happened between Jan 2016- present, dashboard display would flicker, and go dem both daytime and night (while in motion). The back up camera would go black when it reappeared it would have red and yellow streaks. The display would go black, I could hear the radio playing but screen would be black( while in motion). The start up display would freeze as well as the back up camera freezes and I don't know that is anything or anyone behind me, check engine light came on again (while in motion). Most recently the dashboard display is not always present only a black screen, and the headlights are intermittently going completely out when put in park and after about 10-15 seconds comes back on. All other issues the vehicle was stationary. When filling up the gas tank I use to get approximately 370 miles until empty, however intermittently I now get 290-386. The file of all the receipts I've receive from billion when I would take the vehicle in, is to large to attach. Which are videos that show the condensation and the check engine light on.
