Two problems related to steering failed have been reported for the 1997 Chevrolet Venture. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving a squeaking noise was heard coming from the front. Consumer was making a left turn, and the steering wheel failed to move. Consumer had the vehicle towed to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the steering wheel belt needed to be replaced.
When driving in the rain, the driving belt slips apparently and the steering ceases, the servo for the steering fails.
