2 Defogger problem of the 1999 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 01/05/1999

Heater - the heater does not work properly to heat vehicle -- there is not enough air coming from any vent, whether it be in floor, a/c vents, or defroster position. -- seems to indicate that there is a restriction in the air flow, possible an interior heater door not working properly. -- heater can be on max heat in highest blower motor position and vehicle never gets warn enough to turn heater controls down -- this is a little better when vehicle is sitting still for a long period, but it is not uncommon to have cold feet while driving. -- dealer states that all like models operate the same and that there is no problem. -- air flow through ducts is possible 1/3 that of our 1996 blazer and 1997 pick-up truck, both of which have great heaters.

4 Defogger problem of the 1997 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 02/01/1997

Afteer owning this vehicle for barely a month, we began noticing a stench that nearest I could describe it would be that of a dead mouse. However, the smell only noticable if you did not have the air conditioner on. To run the heater, we would put it on ac and then turn the heat up to avoid the smell. When we reported this to the dealer, we were informed it was because we smoked in the vehicle. Howver, we have smoked for years and there is a very distinct stale odour from cigarettes which is in no way similar to the smell we noticed. Now we only really notice this smell after we have the car serviced.
