2 Other Fuel System problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 02/06/2022

Car is losing coolant quickly, even though I have replaced the water pump about a month ago. Due to gm manufactuing, they only allow dex cool coolant for their vehicles but not everyone carries dex cool. Also, the oxygen sensor code need to be read oxygen sensor only and not with 4 or 5 other codes.

3 Other Fuel System problem of the 2003 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 01/17/2022

I was adding fuel to my car and noticed a strong fuel smell. I only traveled a few miles but my fuel gauge dropped from 3/4 to 1/4 full in only a few miles. When I got home I told my husband. He checked the vehicle and found that fuel was leaking from the inlet on the fuel tank. My husband searched the issue an found a recall for some 2003 and 2004 Chevrolet and other gm products listed as NHTSA campaign # 07v349000 and NHTSA action # ea07006. It does list the same vehicle I have a 2003 chevy Venture van. The recall covers just certain months of production. From our research it seems that a broader recall in needed.

Failure Date: 05/26/2014

Please investigate incidents of failure of the gm passkey/passlock/vats security system. Security light would flash and vehicle experienced a total loss of power. Problem occurred intermittently for the next several months, at various speeds. No accidents involved, but several near misses. Problem occurred very frequently in the past week, and now vehicle will not start due to security feature. I am using factory original keys, not replacements. Problem affects this particular make and model, but it is so systemic to gm, an entire aftermarket industry has arisen to bypass this security "feature. ".

10 Other Fuel System problem of the 2000 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 04/08/2014

Fuel lines corroded, dangerous. Gasoline leaks. Sent to dealership for repairs. Notified that the parts are discontinued. This vehicle has been recalled for other fuel issues. Chevy dealer not able to repair vehicle that they built in 2000. 11 Other Fuel System problem of the 2005 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 10/25/2013

The van fills with fuel fumes. The fumes can be smelled inside and outside the vehicle. Gm has recalled chevy Venture 2001-2004 for specific VIN#'s but no 2005's and my specific VIN# is not included. I have talked with gm but their response is just your VIN# is not included. You can go to the dealership and pay for it to get fixed. This is a specific fire hazard according to their reports. I have had to park my vehicle for safety reasons. I can not allow my children to be subjected to the fuel fumes or the potential of a fire. I am not in a position at this time to pay for the work or trade due to the economy. If gm knows that have this problem then why would they let a potential hazard to loyal customers continue. Regardless of the VIN# if the problem is present then gm should be responsible. Sincerely lisa m ransome 2303 union school road rowland, nc 28383 lisa65ransome@yahoo. 15 Other Fuel System problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 03/07/2005

The light saying "check engine soon" went on. I was due for an oil change anyway so took the car to the dealer. Parts manager said it needs a new thermostat and intake gasket. Gasket takes 6. 6 hrs labor and will therefore cost over $500. This is a 2002 Chevrolet Venture van model sv; 42000 miles. This seems an unusual costly repair for this vehicle. What do you think?.

16 Other Fuel System problem of the 2002 Chevrolet Venture

Failure Date: 07/10/2004

The gas gauge stopped working, went from full to empty in about 3 seconds. Chevy refused to help. I have carried a notebook in the vehicle since that time, writing down the date, place of purchase, mileage, total cost, cost per gallon, and how many gallons. This is to make sure I don't run dry, since the idiot going goes off whenever it pleases. (car was purchased new, from paramus Chevrolet in October, 2001).

While driving our 2002 Chevrolet Venture, the abs light comes on and "all-wheel drive disabled" appears in the display. This has occurred on three separate occasions, each time while driving, each time after having been repaired by the dealer. In for service on 9/5/02, 11/19/02, 12/2/02 and today, 9/29/03 for a total of 47 days and counting. This last incident occurred after the part was "redesigned" to eliminate the known defect. There was a failure of the abs and all wheel drive system due to a faulty wheel speed sensor. The consumer requested a refund under the new york lemon law. The fuel evaporator leaked.
