Car Will Not Start Problems of Chevrolet Volt

Tl the contact's daughter's boyfriend owns a 2012 Chevrolet Volt. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 35 mph, the vehicle abruptly independently slowed down with an unknown message on the instrument panel. The contact's wife continued driving the vehicle at a slow speed. Upon reaching her destination, the contact attempted to restart the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to start. Due to the failure, the contact's wife had the vehicle towed to her residence. The contact stated that the electrical vehicle was unable to be recharged, and remained inoperable. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure however, offered no further assistance. A dealer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 149,627.

11/10/2018 while driving about 45mph heading school the car totally shut down for not reason, and would not restart. The ev mode shut down and the gas engine did not start. Police recommend to get it towed to safe location. Onstar records, multiple shut down of computer modules. 11.

2016 chevy Volt wouldn't start, less than a year old, current on maintenance. Towed it to dealer, they said there were some recalls - but couldn't tell me what was wrong. Got it back after 2 days, was fine - then on 9/22/16 wouldn't start again - I was stranded in the dark, got it jump started. Took it to the dealer, since it was running fine he didn't take it in. Told me next time it happens to get it towed in. Wouldn't start again yesterday, unreliable car. Please investigate.
