I don't know what else the problem . Been to two mechanics and both of them can't find the problem. I can't afford to go back and forth to the mechanics and I am still making payments to the car. Please help!.
Only when heater is on, whether on defrost or front vents, blows cold air thru just the passenger side vents. It happens when the car is on.
I was traveling 55 mph on the highway my tire blew out an the fender blew off but somehow the cars whole engine wiring system was ripped out of the car in which the whole car went completely dead of all electricity thankfully I was able to pull on shoulder of highway before the car stopped rolling.
Heater hose line clogs up with sludge, this is then causing no heat on passenger side , no defrost, and little heat on drivers side. This issue makes driving a hazard as the car will completely fog up make visablilty poor. This issue take about 30 min of running the car before drive to barley take the chill off the car.
Heating and cooling. When turning on the heat, the system blows cold air on the passenger side. Then if the car is in idle for a little while then both sides blows out heat. But more often, when the heat is on, it blows out cold air.
Alternator dies at 78,000 miles. Heat no longer works due to heating core at 60,000 miles.
I was driving my car on 295 s yesterday and it lost power and the hot oil light came on and I had to pull over because I was almost hit by an 18 wheeler and sit there for 30 minutes and it states it is a transmission problem and this is the second complaint I have sent to you and I have tried to call but no one is answering or they hung up on me. 05 .
Air bag light is on , going threw brakes and tires every 6 months sense I bought it in 2016. Also no heat started at passanger side and worked its way towards drivers side. Also front windows do not go down started passanger side and 3 months later no driver side. Also was driving about 35 mph made right hand turn car has stalled 5 times.
Problem description: windshield wipers only work on high and when you turn them off they just stay in any position.
The heater core gets clogged up and your windshield visibility will not be cear. Thia will cause unsafe driving measures. No heat my car blows out vool air only.
No heat to passenger side of car due to plugged heater core. Well known issue causing reduced heat to vehicle.
Cold air blows out passenger side vents.
There isn't any heat on the passengers side . The dealer said the heater core and the radiator also the thermostat' s . The said that Chrysler puts in a chemical that's supposed to fill in any pin holes and now a couple of years later it becomes sludge and clogs up the heater core and everything else. And now I have a $2900 bill that I have to pay. It's not right for Chrysler to do that to the public and get away with it.
Heat only coming from right side of car, any setting I use. Heat only comes from right side of car. This seems to be a known issue on Chrysler/Dodge vehicles. This is a safety issue, cannot properly defrost car, windows ice over, unsafe to drive especially with children.
The wiper blades come on by themselves and stay on for about ten to fifteen seconds. They shut off by themselves as well. I can't shut them off.
Passenger side heating and defrost not working and barely working on driver side. Will not defrost causing trouble with visibility. . . There have been numerous complaints about this very same issue on "carcomplaints. Com" the issue became noticeable when it state to get cold in November and December of 2017 around 68,000 miles.
As I was driving on the highway, the car shut down completely. The steering wheel locked and it would not restart. This is the third time this happens, and twice, the dealership tells me the there is nothing wrong with my car, but this keeps happening.
The heat blows out hot air on driver's side but only blows out cold air on the passenger side which will not defrost the windshield and makes it very hard to see which is a safety hazard.
The car accumulates debris below the windshield under the plastic tray which clogs up a drain tube which then makes the water flood back through the heater core into the passenger side of the car . Wetting the floor soaking the carpet and causing rust and black mold. I had it fixed once, but after investigation into the Chrysler cars that this is an on going problem with all their vehicles for yrs now. This needs to be recalled and this design flaw fixed. Either they need to have free maintenance of this or they need to have a separate tube for rain drainage and a different tube for ac heat drainage. . It has cause depreciation of my over all resale value of this car plus caused carpet padding damage rust and possibly mold in my car. . Chrysler keeps laying back on the owners saying maintenance problem . . And charging over 500 to fix it. It's not like an owner can easily clean this area it involves take apart the windshield wipers etc.
The car had only 35,000 miles when the issue started. The passenger heat is cold, and the defrost will not work, while the driver's side gets warm, and will defrost a small amount of the driver side windshield, and nothing on the side windows. This issue is a hazard for visibility in the winter. I have researched the matter to finds this is a common issue with the Chrysler 200 and has a repair bill of $1500 as the passenger side has a blockage or clog in the system.
Heat stopped working on passenger side. Defrosting is more difficult being that the air is not warm in cold temperatures. Prior to the heat not working on the passenger side the a/c stopped getting cold too. (it was getting cold only on the drivers side).
Heat partially operational only driver side. When going up to 70 m/h only cold air come out of vents . A/c not working no leakage after garage inspections .
Car is stalling unexpectedly when slowed down or stopped at an intersection. Towed twice. Taken car to three different mechanics, including the Chrysler dealership. Paid over $1000 and still stalling. First two mechanics could not figure it out so took to dealership. They stated it was the throttle body and back brakes. Paid $960, picked up and didn't even make it home before it stalled twice. Not easily restarted. This car stalled on me, while 5 months pregnant and two small children in the car while turning left across the lane of oncoming traffic and another time so my husband in the middle of a busy intersection. I have researched that this is or has happened to many Chrysler owners and was rated low risk and not recalled. I would love to know how this is low risk?.
The passenger side heating vents blow cold air and the windshield will not defrost on that side causing a safety hazard. Not to mention I live in montana and it's seriously cold then having cold air blowing in the car is horrible.
Passenger side heater does not work windshield and side windows ice over in cold weather so I can't see while driving weather has warmed now but problem is the samr.
Passenger side does not have any heat coming out of the vents, or defrosters. Only the far driver side produces small amount of warmth. Being that I live in wisconsin, it has become hazardous for me to drive my vehicle in the winter for obvious reasons. Not being able to unfog, or defrost your windows is unbelievably dangerous! aside from the dangers of driving at times with only half of a clear windshield, my passengers and I freeze inside the vehicle during the winter! the only way to clear the windshield and passenger window is to periodically open the windows while driving, which only makes the inside temperature that much more unbearable.
My vehicle has no heat coming from the passenger side vents. The heater core is partly plugged. I worked for Chrysler as a mechanic up until a few months ago. I have personally run into this same issue with customer cars as well as several other techs. Chrysler will not cover the repair due to it now being out of basic warranty.
Clunking noise in the front drivers side wheel. Vehicle drive straight but there is a clucking sound that can also be felt in the steering wheel while driving. It happens now all the time when diving highway or side streets lower speeds seem worst under 40 mph, started a few months ago and getting louder.
When I turn on the heat, the passenger side vents blow cold air. This is a problem to drive using my air/heat because it's draining my coolant. This causes my temperature gage to rise. This happens regardless of my car being stable or in motion. This, at times, also causes my windshield to become foggy.
The passenger side of my defrost/vents does not work--it remains cold even on high heat and driver side hot. The windshield and passenger window remain foggy or ice covered, or after removing the fog or ice it rebuilds fog or ice while traveling on highways while snowing, extremely limiting visibility. This winter has been quite difficult to drive safely due to this condition.
My vehicle has roughly 54,000 miles. The heat does not work on the passenger side of the vehicle and is progressively becoming colder on the driver side of the vehicle. The car will not reach a warm enough temperature to be comfortable or to adequately defrost the windshield. This is a known issue to Chrysler and should be recalled. The parts involved are the heater core and radiator.
The passenger side of the vehicle blows cold air while the heat is on. The driver side blows luke warm air, thus ineffectively heating the vehicle. I have been told this is a known problem with this model and is a defective heater core system. The estimated cost to fix is $900-$1200. Living in michigan, and not having heat during the winter is a major concern for safety.
Vehicle stalled and would not start while driving (2 times )towed to dealer as (both times) tow driver could not restart. Dealer reported no computer codes and car started after car started on problem. There appears to be common safety hazard that has been experienced by many owners, that reportly Chrysler and NHTSA agreed upon a resolution to avoid a recall by Chrysler of this safety hazard in sept 2012. Chrysler doesn't acknowledge and not sharing this information with dealers so they can take corrective action. Various attempts tried to resolve this hazardous condition have included replacing the powertrain module, camscope replacement, monitoring the on board with a copilot computer-which also showed no codes. The dealer did say that Chrysler suggested an additional module be added to the on board computer, but none of their customers returned a third or more times as previous attempts were unsuccessful and appeared to give up. This life threatening safety hazard needs to beinvestigated and resolved, as we were driving on a roadway and the motor just shut off. , if this not resolved it will sometime cause injuries or deaths, which could end up with a recall something that Chrysler possible replacement of on computers.
On Nov 7 2016 at roughly 7pm, I was heading west on the 10 freeway location 34. 065990,-117. 993771, baldwin park, CA. Traffic started to slow to 45 mph then came to a sudden stop and I was the last one in the 4 car collision. My airbags did not deploy and. I feel that the brakes may be faulty for when I stepped on them as hard as I could it seemed to be more of a skipping stop. For the littlest bump feels like ur hydroplaning to a stop. Chrysler never informed me of any recall about the airbags though I felt they should of deployed. My car was in the shop till March so I havent had it back but a few months.
The dealership wants to charge me $1800 to replace the tipm, but I see other Chrysler models have been recalled for the same thing. . . Except mine hasn't. This isn't just a minor inconvenience. . . It's very very unsafe: the fuel pump not turning off and burning out the airbags not deploying or deploying randomly the engine stalling while driving the starter cranks but won't start the horn going off at random times power windows not working doors locking or unlocking themselves my wipers, horn and lights go on at random times. At times it's while I'm driving. . . . Sometimes it's while it's parked. The car doesn't even need to be turned on for this to happen. It's drained my battery a few times and now it's not even drivable. It started back in November, 2016, but has continued through the present. I haven't been able to drive it for the last 2 weeks.
