general problems of the 2013 Chrysler 200

Windshield washer pump has no power at pump. Transmission shifts irradically on roads. Interior lights no power. Have been told be auto computer repair service that tipm is going out.

While driving the car on the highway, the car dies and has to be jumped. The jump only makes it a short distance before shutting of again. All the lights come on ,on the dash and shut the car off.

Im drive down 41 to oshkohs WI at night I have my head lights on high beam and a deer ran out and im going 70 and hit it in the back end if my lights whould have been brighter I whould have seen it on low looks like a wall stops on high they go further but there is still a wall.

Takata recall. This has happened repeatedly over the past 2 years. While driving my car, my front and rear lights stop working. Hazards and blinkers included. Today, it lasted nearly 9 hours. I went to o reileys and auto zone to have my car tested. I am a mom of 4 girls, so they took sympathy and tried to help. Couldn't find what the issue was, I was told to go to a Chrysler dealership and have it looked over. I don't have the income to pay a mechanic. While waiting in line at my daughters school, the right front light decided to work and my back rear left light decided to work. Then lights came back on and ac stopped blowing cold air. My cars dash board repeatedly kept letting me know which lights weren't working. Check engine light never came on. It was terrifying.

On October 28th, 2014 I dropped my car off at the dealership for repair with complaints of electrical issues. The alarm was performing with unpredictable tendencies and was not disarming in order to enter the car. After driving a rental for two weeks that came out of my pocket the dealership claimed that they could not duplicate the problem in order to fix it. I was forced to take the car back knowing that the problem was not fixed. The random electrical problems progressed and the car ignition began having serious issues. Once the key was turned to ¿off ¿ the car would restart and the indicator light would say ¿key in ignition� although the key had been removed from the ignition. I would have to turn and hold the key to the ¿on� position for several seconds before the car would turn over. On December 15th, 2014 I attempted to put the key into the ignition and the engine did not turn over at all. I removed the key from the ignition and the engine began to make the sounds as if it was going to turn over at least 10 times while the key was out of the ignition. On January 15th, 2015 I received a call from the service rep at the dealership. He said that he was advised by my case manager at Chrysler customer care to call and tell me that I had to come and pick up my car although the problem had not been resolved. The service rep said that they had replaced the tipm (totally integrated power module), the battery, and the clock that flickers yet the electrical issues repeated even after the replacement of the tipm. He continued to say that the Chrysler engineers did not know how to fix the problem. This car is still within the formal ¿lemon law rights period�and I am asking Chrysler for appropriate action in a timely manner.

2013 Chrysler 200. Consumer writes in regards to numerous repairs and vehicle recalls issues. The check engine light illuminated. The technician diagnosed the code p0441 evap purge valve. The water pump, gasket, serpentine belt, idler pulley and multi-function switch were replaced.

The headlamps on this vehicle, on low beam, project light that is inadequate for speeds above 30-35 mph, especially on rural roads. You simply cannot see more than approximately 40 yards in front of the car. Extremely unsafe for night driving.

The headlamps on this vehicle are a safety hazard, you can not see at night, I almost hit a parked car at night because of the poor visibility.

This vehicle as a "shutter" on the headlamp. This goes down on low beams and up on high beams. I am unable to drive this vehicle at night, the head lights do not shine down the road, and clearly not be able to see. This is a huge danger issue, that needs to be addressed. Dealership is saying. . . Sorry, nothing that can be done. Please help me.

I bought my 200 in December 2012. Starting in January, the car idles very strangely. When I start the car the engine rattles as if it does not want to start. The brakes have always squeaked as if they need to be replaced and when I asked the dealership, I was told that this is normal and every car squeaks. Lastly, it is difficult to drive during the evening time because of the low lighting. I do not believe I will ever by Chrysler again because the car runs as if it 60,000 miles old. I am afraid it is going to break down any moment. I wish I would have bought the Honda accord.

Headlamps are not very good on this vehicle, I have had the headlamps adjusted by the dealer once and they did not improve, went to another dealer and was told that they were not adjustable. The vehicle can not be driven at night.
