I purchased this 2015 200 Chrysler January 1, 2016 from zeigler Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram of downers. Address 2311 ogden Ave, downers grove ,IL . Leading up to the engine going out the car would just randomly cut off while in motion and also making turns. I took it back to this dealership and they stated that the engine went out. On June 14,2016 that's when I got an engine replaced. I ask if it was new or used and they assured me that it was a new engine. However keeping up with oil changes, my check engine light came on. I took it to a mechanic and was told that I needed a tune up done. So I got my spark plugs changed. After that the car would just cut off while in motion and also turning. I tried driving the car to work while turning it on whenever it cuts off. The brakes got so tight on me that I had to use both feet to stop the vehicle. I got the car towed to a car shop and they stated that this car had to be looked at by a dealership. So I got the car towed to the nearest Chrysler dealership and they stated that there was 4 things wrong with this car. Then called me back and stated that this car needed an engine. This car is under a hundred thousand miles and with this problem occurring again for the second time. Looking for help and answers.
I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 s I have searched the recall database and it says all recalls have been performed. The vehicle has had issues since I have bought it and to no satisfaction has anything been completed. Lights on my dashboard are flashing and the screen is flashing different systems are malfunctioning. It sits in my driveway I am afraid to move it although now it says it has a misfire and the service awd light is on. When I did drive it the service transmission light comes on and the car will not drive past 1500 rpm.
When the vehicle starts to slip just a little bit while going slower speeds the parking break automatically engages. This has caused my vehicle to get stuck in the snow and mud multiple times, as where had it not happened and I could have kept the vehicle moving I would not have got stuck. I'm worried the parking break may try to engage while going faster speeds and starting to hydroplane/slide/etc. This can cause huge life threatening accidents if it were to happen. The most recent time is April 17th in a little bit of mud. But happened approcimately 10 times over this past winter alone. Even though there wasn't a crash, I did get stuck and needed help to get out.
My car shifts to neutral and does not allow me to drive at times.
Car stalls while driving on highway and city streets rpm ranges all the way to 9 rpm then suddenly goes to 2rpm while driving car also goes to neutral independently, dash lights indicate service park brake, service transmission, service abs, car revs in park position as if accelerator is depressed when starting, driver side window intermittently works while driving.
I was driving down the road at about 40 mph and the emergency brake came on all by its self. I had no control of the vehicle and the car spun in a circle into the other lane. The car was then thrown off the road into.
At low speeds carhas and very strong powerful, jerk thatcan injure and persons neck. Also when aproaching and offramp, toget on it staulces out ,this most of time itook it and dealer and they put and scanner on it then they said they upgradedthe computer,it lasted for 3 days. Now its back worst then before. 02.
On November 29, 2017 at approximately 5:15 pm, was driving approximately 25mph in traffic on a two lane. I hit the brake to stop, no brakes, and I hit the person in front of me. After hitting them, I bounced off and continued to move with no brakes. My airbags did not deploy and I sustained injuries to me chest, neck, head and back. I was able to steer the car in the right side lane and eventually was able to steer into a parking lot; still with no brakes. I looked down to pull up the emergency brake and saw the shifter in neutral. I then put the shifter in park and the car finally stopped. I do not yet have the police report. I did not receive a ticket, but was taken by ambulance to the hospital.
Takata recall I turn my car on this morning and and my gear says it's in neutral and it won't let me switch to drive.
Twice I've had my kids in the car and have had this car stall out on me in motion and it is definitely a safety issue.
Tl- the contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that their vehicle's airbag warning light was illuminated and the check engine warning light were both illuminated. The vehicle's brakes were difficult to apply due to the contact needing to press the braking pedal with access force. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership (boles automotive service center, llc address: 354 union cemetery rd sw, concord, nc 28027 phone: (704) 792-1005) who replaced the brakes and completed an airbag related recall remedy on their vehicle (NHTSA campaign number unknown). The contact stated all failures persisted. The contact returned the vehicle to the dealership mentioned above, who stated that whenever they ran a diagnostic test the code read different, therefore, there was a electrical issue with the vehicle. Specifics as to what wires were causing the issue had not been identified. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact had not contacted the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000. Gl.
I took my car to the car wash and after I left there, the brake pedal got very hard and I could not stop. Look for a parking lot to investigate a little about what was happening and then I had to call my insurance to request a crane and take it to my house.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While stationary, the vehicle malfunctioned. Upon engaging the push start feature, the brakes and the steering wheel seized and all of the instrument panel lights illuminated without warning. The contact could not depress the brake pedal at all. The contact disconnected the battery and reset the vehicle in order to restart the vehicle. The dealer and manufacturer were not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 60,000.
We traveled two hours away for an event. When we were leaving the park the car stalled. No steering, no brakes, and no dash lights. We almost side swiped a camper before the car finally stopped. Another time driving down a busy highway the cat just dies. Etc light comes on. We take the car ti the dealer and they tell us its because the oil was low. I dont understand how the oil being low is going to stall out the car, there was no indication of oil issues. No lights were on in the dash. This car is unsafe.
Takata recall when you press the brake it makes a spring sound. When you drive the gear switches by itself and the car accelerates by itself.
Sometimes when I start my car and put car into drive the emergency break engages. I have to press button to release emergency break.
My car doesn't want to come out of neutral. Sometimes it doesn't start and when it does the performance shifting is not available. Also my passenger air bag needs to be service. And every thing that's wrong with my vehicle Chrysler has a recall but my vehicle is not included.
As I was going down the street my radio completely disabled then it came back on as if it hadn't been set already jumped back off stayed off then it came back on as if nothing happened(30mph),I was backing my car in to a parking spot on two separate occasions when in the process of doing so my park brakes jumped on out of no where and brought the car to a complete stop in its tracks(5/8mph).
Takata recall a month after I purchased the car in March 29,2017 my seatbelt light pop on and shortly after less than a week of the seatbelt light coming my airbag light came on buzzing making noise my break was making a noise so I took to american financial on winchester that services the cars but I was told there were nothing wrong with the break but now I really hear the breaks scrubbing the also all 4 tries was replaced with new tires and so now I'm dealing with my tracking light on all the time if it's cold outside I have had the worst time with this 2015 with 42125 milage and I was told that nothing on here were covered under warranty but I have a printout that show that this same seat belt was fixed under warranty 7/2016 and other things were fixed under warranty I really need some assistant with what I have going on because I know I shouldn't have all these issue on this car already.
Over the past six months, car has been in and out of multiple dealerships for brake system and transmission issues. The transmission shifts erratically and lurches without warning. The brake system has now caused three accidents. The brake pedal will suddenly go to the floor, and lose all braking power. This has resulted in one major collision. Dealers have "fixed" the issues but they return. Parking brake randomly activates on its own, causing rear wheels to lock and a loss of control of the car. This last occurence the parking brake activated on its own, causing us to skid into a ditch while travelling 70mph. The dealer said the issue was the battery and returned the vehicle to us after charging us because the battery apparently isnt covered under warranty. The next day the brake system completely failed. The car has been in the shop for two weeks now. The have replaced every major component of the braking system, but cannot get the cars brakes to work properly. Chrysler either has no comment or doesn't care about the safety of its customers.
When accelerating, car 'misses' shift points. Dealer states that "everything is normal" when coming to a stop, car lurches forward unexpectedly, nearly causing a crash every time. Once again dealer says this is "normal operation". Driving down the highway at 55mph, brake pedal went dead and emergency parking brake activated, causing car to skid off the road. Dealer says that nothing is wrong with the brakes, yet this has happened over 6 times in the past 6 months.
Purchases car on Aug 4, 2015 since day I purchased car it has had a hesitation when shifting into drive at initial start. You start car and turn dial to drive but if u immediately try to take off the engine will just rev as if your in neutral it takes about 15-30 seconds once you turn the dial before car is in gear. After about maybe 10,000 miles I noticed car would sometimes jerk as if it had been stuck in a gear maybe this has randomly happened several times around 60+ mph brakes hard and difficult to push down had to stand on them and still barely stopped. Shut car off and restarted 20 min later and they were fine. Service awd light came on at about 60,000 miles after purchase and install of brand new tires. Went off and came back on about a week later and car began making a high pitced winding sound (sort of like an open faced fishing reel when you cast or reel it in) then all the sudden heard a big clunk when sit ring at stop sign it was loud and jogged the car to the point I though maybe a deer ran into the side of the car. I took off but immediately pulled overy and walked around the end car to check and didn't see anything. Noticed when I took off the winding had quit. But the next day it began again took car to dealership because the winding noise had gotten so loud they told me they couldn't check it while doing oil change had to be scheduled. I raised hell until someone came out from service when oil change was done and went for a ride with me. Noise was completely gone serv awd light still on tho scheduled appointment to have light turned off for 4 days later. Drove 30 miles when I left dealership and it began again stopped to drop kid off and was headed back to dealership but when I restarted car noise gone and awd light was off. Noise comes and goes over next 2,000 mi now awd light back on and car is horrible in snow without awd.
Starting in July 2016, I have had issues with my parking break. On 3 separate occasions (most recent on 8/19/16), the parking break would not release and I was unable to drive. I was stuck for about 20-30 minutes each time. The car jumps as I accelerate (this has been happening since from day 1) , as if it is having a problem transitioning between gears. This tends to happen when I am driving low speeds, like driving out of a parking structure, or accelerating from a complete stop. Yesterday my car would not start. Electricity was on (radio, lights etc) but the car would not start. Jumping it helps.
The contact owns a 2015 Chrysler 200. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle failed to accelerate when depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the braking system failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000.
The car is burning oil. 35 qt in 6000 miles. That is all you smell as you drive or at idle. The car jerks back and forth as you drive not good form my 5 yr and 3 yr old necks when its jerking them back and forth. As we brake the car feels like it is giving gas to go. The car has died at stop signs in the middle of know where.
When applying the brakes while backing up, the brakes make a grinding / rubbing noise. The problem is intermittent and happens at different times of the day. It started with just 1,200 miles on the vehicle. There is a problem which Chrysler claims they cannot find.
I were in little but really scared accident with my almost new Chrysler. In very slow traffic (5-7 miles/hour) when I tried to come home after work meeting from kirkland suddenly I realized that my brakes don't wanna stop the car with light tapping as it was ok previously, then tapped on break harder and then panic and realized the brake. I end up with hang on the tail (the little thing attached to the rear end of the car) of big track. I tried to say something about breaks problem to my insurance, but collision repair company did not confirm my concerns and I paid $1000 deductible as the driver in fault (in the future it will affect my monthly pay for insurance). I tried to find the solution but only my family can support me without laughing at my problem with the car safety. One of my friends told me, that I need to involve some of an independent professional and stop trying talk to the wall. Chrysler already took an advantage of my not fair purchase and then my trade-in with them (my dealership refused to replace my previous Chrysler 200 for safety reason again!!! and sold to me my current Chrysler for $43,000 and it's not safe still!!!). In additional, I scared with the noise producing by the car while I'm driving: there are two types of noise from the engine when it's going down of the hill and windows or something like windows shaking noise. Frankly saying, I have very upsetting experience with the dealership and start looking for the second opinion with treating me as the fair and professional business. Please let me know what is in the options to keep my life safe since I have a strong feeling, that I'm not safe to drive my Chrysler. Thank you!.
In January 2015, I purchased a 2015 Chrysler 200s from reedman toll auto world. I owned the vehicle for approximately 3 months and in March, 2015 during a snowstorm I was driving in the vehicle with my fiance and 5 year old son. I was traveling at approx 30mph in bensalem, PA. The vehicle locked up. The parking brake engaged, no power steering, no abs, no traction control, transmission stopped engaging. I hit the brakes and slide into an intersection. I had my fiance get into the drivers seat and I push the car off the roadway into a side street. At that time I walked my fiance and son home approximately 1 mile to our apartment. I then walked back to the disabled car. I waited for approximately 2 hours for a tow truck to arrive from Chrysler roadside assistance. The vehicle was towed into reedman toll auto world. When the car was looked over it was deem to be fine and I was told to pick it up. I did not do that. I told them I didnt feel safe driving that vehicle any longer. So then I spoke with the general manager of reedman's and they told me they could get me into a different vehicle. I was poorly educated with my options back then and I wanted to just get a safe vehicle for my family. So I purchased a 2015 Chrysler 200c. On January 23th, 2016 I was driving my 2015 Chrysler 200c with my fiance. I was driving at approximately 20mph and the identical situation occurred again. It was 10 months after my last incident and with a totally different vehicle. This time I contacted Chrysler directly. I still havent heard anything from Chrysler. Reedman's told me that there was some snow in there and they removed that and re flashed the computer system and now its "perfect". I find this to be really unacceptable and unsafe. More information including pictures and videos can be provided.

My transmission keeps slipping and it's becoming hazardous to drive on the road. Would not recommend purchasing this vehicle!!.
