Unknown Or Other problem #1

While driving my vehicle home yesterday evening my car shutdown by itself. I had to restart 3 times to make it home. This is extremelly dangerous as I was on a high rise bridge at the time. Anyone knows if there is a recall on this vehicle. Again today it shutdown and will not start again. I had to be towed to a repair shop.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

Cpsc# i11a0205a. Chrysler 300. Car was towed to repair shop. Would not go in reverse. Something is wrong with gear shaft.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

Could not get the gear shift out of park - broken - a/t shift interlock lever replacement- part cheap - labor $80. 00.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

In reference to my 2005 Chrysler 300 - I went out to drive my car and it would not shift out of park. I found out it was a small pin in the shifter mechanism. As I researched online, I found this problem to be wide spread with Chrysler 300 owners. The dealership knew what I was talking about the minute I described the problem. They said it is very common and they see this regularly. They also said that Chrysler does not sell that particular part separately and the only way to fix it is to replace the entire unit. Lastly, the dealership even questioned why this problem hasn't been recalled. I also called Chrysler customer service to explain my problem (and mounting cost to tow my car and have it fixed). Before I got the description out of my mouth, he said "your car won't shift out of park - right?" I said yes and he told me he hears it all the time. That Chrysler has recalled this problem on a few years, but not most of them and not mine. He said he doesn't know why it hasn't been recalled, but he suggested I send a letter to them along with my bills. He didn't know if they'd pay, but it was better than nothing. He told me to reach out to your organization and see what you all said.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

Gear shift stuck in park. The interlock return spring hook is broken. I have to press a pink lever under gear shift to get out of park. I had to take console apart to get to leaver. I am finding out that some vehichles have a recall on this defect and others do not. I am told that vehichles made in certain factorys have recalls. Why is that fair that although mine was not made in a certain factory, but is still broke, it will not be repaired? I have purchased many Chrysler products in the past and have been very complimentary of my Chrysler 300 except for this issue.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

2005 Chrysler 300 was parked in garage over night when we went to start vehicle it started just fine but it would not shift out of park to reverse to get out of garage. This happened on June 18 2011. Come to find out it was a spring that had broke off from a piece of plastic down in the shifter that had broke.
