Ignition Switch problems of the 2005 Chrysler 300

1 Ignition Switch problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2010

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 25 mph the headlight warning light started to flash on and off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the light switch was replaced. The failure continued and was taken back to the dealer a second time and the ignition switch was replaced. The failure occurred a third time and the clock spring was replaced and the codes were reset. The failure continued to occur and was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 60,000.

2 Ignition Switch problem

Failure Date: 09/01/2004

2005 Chrysler 300 with ignition problem. Consumer states that after the installation of the ignition switch was completed. She continued to have the exact same problem as before with the eas light indicator. The consumer was told there was an open circuit in the ignition switch. The consumer stated the problem became more serious which caused the steering wheel to violently vibrate in excess of 60 mph. Another service provider informed the consumer the tie rod end was broken and the struts needed to be replaced.
