X53 extended warranty fuel tanks. Vehicle stalls while moving especially after refueling. Vehicle will stall at anytime especially after tank has been completely refueled, whether it be on side streets at slower speeds or on freeway at higher speeds. According to fiat/Chrysler x53 extended warranty is only applicable to certain vehicles manufactured at specific manufacturing facilities, but does not include Chrysler 300 vehicles that were manufactured at other facilities other than ones specified. This particular vehicle was manufactured at another Chrysler facility that was not at one of the specified manufacturing facilities. Regardless of which facility this vehicle was manufactured, it still is experiencing the same issue. The vehicle stalls after fuel fill ups. This presents a safety hazard to vehicle occupants. Rear end collisions could occur endangering the safety of those in the vehicle, especially if vehicle is moving at high freeway speeds. 8 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 05/15/2014

At a stop or low speed the car will sputter, chug, jump and die. No dash indicator lights come on. Car will restart. It may occur at stop lights, in the middle of intersections or when parking. I was told by the Chrysler dealer service department that it was a fuel tank problem. They told me it was the same problem many other Chrysler 300's have been had, but my model was not covered under the recall. I have seen numerous complaints online from many people with the same symptoms. I see that other Chrysler models have been covered under a NHTSA action number: pe13016. In my case, I do not know if the problem has anything to do with the fuel level or the tank being recently filled. It is serious safety concern since the car can die in the middle of an intersection, or maybe in a parking lot when you are parking, or braking for other cars or pedestrians. When you suddenly have no power and can't control the vehicle it is very scary and dangerous. Please help address this issue and get these tanks covered under warranty. Thank you.

9 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 03/12/2014

Right after I fueled my Chrysler 300c, the engine stalled a number of times. At a red light it felt like my car surged forward as I kept my foot on the brake. It did not start right away after I put it in neutral but turned over after several attempts. We brought it to our Chrysler dealer where we bought the vehicle and was advised about the fuel tank and that it needed to be replaced costing upwards of $3,000.

10 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 01/08/2014

We bought this car new. My wife fill her gas tank and when driving off the gas lot, her vehicle died almost causing an accident. This has happen almost every time she gets gas. I feel this is a real safety issue and from reading many, many other complaints, this seems to be a very common problem with this vehicle. It seems as though Chrysler has replaced the gas tank on the 2006 model but not the 2005. Why has there not been a recall on this. I know I will be contacting my attorney if there is an accident due to this issue.

11 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 10/31/2013

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler 300. While driving with low fuel and approaching a stop, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. In addition, the contact noticed strong fuel fumes emitting around the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to a dealer multiple times where it was diagnosed that the fuel tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired on multiple occasions; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 75,000.

12 Other Fuel System Tank Assembly problem

Failure Date: 11/15/2012

My Chrysler 300 touring began to stall any time I refueled in winter months. When I brought the car into the dealer they replaced the "vapor canister purge valve". That solved the problem temporarily. When the problem resurfaced I brought the car back to the same dealer and was told it now was a valve in the fuel tank and the entire fuel tank would need to be replaced. Cost of replacement was about $2500. The service tech said just don't fill up the tank to avoid the problem. I have been doing that in the winter ever since but last night after refueling it was fine until I was driving around traffic circle and the engine began to stall and I almost got rear ended by another car entering the traffic circle behind me. This seems to be a problem with a large number of these Chrysler vehicles. I have a hard time believing there hasn't been a recall on these vehicles for this issue!.
