Takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the service engine warning indicator illuminated randomly several times without warning. The dealer was notified, but was not diagnosed. An independent mechanic diagnosed that a coil spring failed near the top of the motor. In addition, the dealer repaired the vehicle per a recall for NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags). For NHTSA campaign number: 16v352000 (air bags), the parts had not been supplied from the manufacturer. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available. The driver side airbag has been replaced. But the passenger side airbag light is on and will not go of f when the car is turned on, the symbol remains on until the car is turned off. .
My car stalls after fill up, only after I fill it up does it stall not at any other time. ! also my air bag light has been coming on, after I drive car for awhile it will go off, but then it might light up again after driving. Very erratic! now I'm having a problem with my car key, it won't unlock my car when I hit unlock, when this has happened I've had to manually unlock it, then it sets my car alarm off, I got up this morning and car horn was going off in garage. It's now quiet :) calling Chrysler repair today!!!.
I bought my car used in 2010. The airbag light has always been on. I took to the dealership one year ago and he told me there was not a recall on it and it would cost over $450 to fix. I just reviewed the recalls on both airbags one dated 5/3015 and the other 5/2016. I just called safecar. Gov and she said there is no remedy yet. The recalls said they need to both be replaced. I'm printing page out and taking to dealership and hope they will replace both airbags as stated on this website.
