(sh - use of first person) tl-the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact received a tk holdings settlement letter and inquired about open recalls on their vehicle. I informed the contact that there were zero open recalls on their vehicle at this time. The contact also stated that while driving at approximately 35 miles per hour she crashed into another vehicle and her air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was not towed, but later driven to her residence. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the estimated cost of repairs was $2,450. There was approximately 150,000 miles on the vehicle at the time of the failure. Neither the dealership or the manufacturer were notified. Sh.

2 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

The contact owned a 2006 Chrysler 300. While driving 55 mph, the contact crashed into a deer and the engine caught fire. The air bags did not deploy. The vehicle was towed and deemed destroyed. My wife was driving home at night from the store in a residential street and car all of a sudden accelerated on its own. Wife tried hard to apply the brakes but car would not slow down. She tried hard to control car to avoid poles and trees and hit hard in ditch. Air bags failed to deploy. Wife suffered contusions and bruises. Car was considered a total loss by insurance company. Tried to notify manufacturer to report the failure and just kept getting a run around from them. Apparently they do not stand behind their products. I see several other complaints on this same issue but no recall was ever issued.

4 Air Bag Not Deploy problem

The contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags) however, the part needed to perform the recall repair was unavailable. The contact was told by his local dealer that there were no parts or a remedy available to service the vehicle however, when contacting the dealer that was further from him, he was advised that they did have parts available. The vehicle was not repaired because the contact was unable to drive the vehicle on the highway due to a disability. The contact was later involved in a crash where he was rear-ended while sitting at a red light and the air bags failed to deploy. The contact sustained injuries to the neck, wrist, knee and head. Another passenger also sustained injuries to the back, neck and legs. Both required medical attention. A police report was filed of the incident. The contact was concerned with the time involved with having the vehicle repaired. The contact called the manufacturer to inquire about a loaner vehicle however, he was provided no assistance. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair to be performed. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The failure mileage was 67,000. Tl- the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that there was a progressing failure in which the vehicle was hesitating while in operation and in other instances the vehicle stalled with no warning. The contact had to coast the vehicle over to the side of the road and restart the vehicle each time the failure recurred. The contact stated that while traveling, another vehicle attempted to go around another vehicle and that vehicle crashed into the rear of the contacts vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. The driver did not sustain any major injuries other than whip lash and did not receive medical treatment. A police report was filed. The vehicle was to be towed to a dealer for inspection, diagnosis and repair. Tl-the contact owns a 2006 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 25 mph the vehicle was involved in a crash with an oncoming vehicle, in which the air bags failed to deploy. The contact stated stated that the air bags were replaced under NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags). The contact alan baer was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 and was struck head-on March 2, 2015, both cars were destroyed, the contact alan baer was injured in the right shoulder and left arm - the airbags did not deploy. (the airbags did deploy & protect the driver of the other car involved). Subsequently, notification was received of NHTSA airbag safety recall: 15v313000 (air bags), alan baer contacted dealer even though the accident happened prior to the recall. The dealer had no information about available recourse for injuries received or parts availability for recall repairs. The manufacturer was contacted about the accident.

Failure Date: 06/27/2014

Rear ended a dooley pickup with a trailer hitch. Front of car impacted dead center. Totaled out car. Front cap was knocked off car, front end smashed in and motored shifted. Air bags never deployed. Front frame bent in two places. Also front seat belts never went into locked position.
