1 Engine Knocking Noise problem

Tl the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. While driving approximately 60 mph, the check engine warning indicator illuminated and the engine made a loud knocking sound. The contact pulled the vehicle over to a fuel station where it currently remained. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 233,500.

2 Engine Knocking Noise problem

Failure Date: 11/08/2010

No warning. Car all of a sudden died when driving down the street with 2 children in backseat. Almost rearended by an SUV. Car would not restart for about 1-2 minutes. When it did finally start had a knocking noise and other sounds. Vehicle had no power to go very sluggish. Had car towed the next day to dealer. Warranty denied claim due to oil sludge.
