1 Transmission Not Engage problem

Tl the contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while her husband attempted to reverse the vehicle out of the driveway, the transmission failed to engage in reverse. The transmission failed to shift out of the park position. The contact called airport Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram (5751 eagle vail dr, orlando, FL 32822, (407) 734-3814) and the contact was informed to tow the vehicle to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the gear shifter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 144,000.

2 Transmission Not Engage problem

Failure Date: 07/18/2017

Vehicle was stationary, started vehicle, foot on brake, vehicle shifter would not disengage from park. Now what ? could find no open recalls on issue, just lots of complaints about exact same problem and a few references to a k 39 (recall ?) please investigate and initiate a fix for this.
