The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving in reverse at approximately 12-15 mph, the brake was applied when the vehicle abnormally accelerated. The accelerator pedal then became stuck to the floor. The vehicle continued to accelerate and crashed into the driver side of a vehicle sitting idle at a traffic stop, and then crashed into a parked vehicle. The contact sustained head and neck injuries, and the passenger sustained injuries to the neck. The vehicle was towed to a local auto body shop for investigation. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure and the current mileage was 49,500.
