My air bag light comes on and off, and I notice it only does this when the front passenger moves the seat.
Airbag light has constantly came on, twice I have paid to have have the driver side and they said the passengers side repaired. It has came on again last week, I cannot keep paying to have the same thing fixed.
Just bought a 2012 Chrysler 300 base model about one month ago from a used car dealer. In the past two weeks the airbag light comes on intermitant . It stays on for less than a minute. Once it stayed on for about 5 minutes. It always goes out. Car rides fine. Just wondering if this is a free fix at dealer. It would come on more when driving and when I stop the light would go out shortly after.
The all wheel drive will not work despite having been taking into the dealer three (3) times for diagnosis /servicing since approximately Nov, 2018. The dealer even had it for 10 days while we were on vacation during xmas, 2019 and supposedly couldn't duplicate the problem during the "several" times they tried. In really slick, snowy conditions, the service awd light will come on, but once I've turned the vehicle off and back on, it doesn't come on again until the next slick, snowy event. The dealer's only suggestion is new tires which doesn't help if the front tires won't engage when the vehicle is put into drive. When the awd issue occurs, the vehicle is also difficult to stop when slowing down and difficult to start when taking off. Passenger air bag light came on and off for about 24 hours, then stayed off for 1-2 days. Now it stays on consistently (whether in park or drive). The passenger airbag light has been on consistently since Feb, 2020. This was taken in and repaired for the passenger airbag recall in approximately Jan, 2019.

"takata recall" car has airbag lights on after they supposed to had fixed it. Also the gear shifter light is on, and having issues with shifting gears.
Air bag light comes on and goes off when sitting/not sitting on passenger seat. Appears the seat's connection to airbag is faulty. Now the air bag light stays on. Took to dealership previously (soon after purchased) they said something was under the seat messing with airbag cables. Now light appears when nothing is under the seat. Light comes and goes but mostly stays. This happens when driving and sitting in car while warming up. Afraid airbags might deploy because of faulty wiring in seat.
Air bag light continuously illuminates while sitting still or driving.
The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. While the vehicle was stationary and while driving various speeds, the air bag indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. Ewald Chrysler Dodge Jeep ram in franklin, wisconsin was made aware of the failure and replaced the seat belt pretensioners in February of 2017; however, the failure recurred. Upon a second assessment, the dealer stated that the wiring harness was faulty in the driver' s seat of the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 35,000.
Passanger air bag light on.
Since purchasing this vehicle on memorial day weekend at Chrysler, little falls NJ of 2014, I have had nothing but issues. From electrical problems, to the airbag issues, to later spending over 1300 in repairing the alternator. Within the 1st few days of the purchase the air bag light came on in which I immediately brought the car in for repair and the mechanic stated that there were no issues found. Unfortunately, it was too late to cancel the purchase, per flo I had signed the contract and cannot cancel the deal. After becoming very frustrated with the continuous issues with the vehicle and lack of customer service, I contacted corporate Chrysler, in which caitlin contacted me and scheduled an appointment with rt1 Chrysler in lawrenceville NJ around 7/2015, in which they stated that the air bag had spliced wires. A few days from taking the vehicle home the air bag light came back on. I contacted caitlin to report that the issue still exist in which she never called me back. I called her for several months. I then took the vehicle to the Chrysler in cherry hill and the one in lumberton, all stated no issues found, even after bringing it in when the alternator went on it. I also brought it in to the Chrysler in lumberton since the car had lost power/engine knocking and they stated nothing was wrong until I brought it back to cherry hill Chrysler and they found that it was engine problems. Corporate Chrysler and all these dealers have continued claiming that they cannot find any airbag issues or when they claim they find something, it has been repaired but yet the problem still exist. Bottom line, all these dealers and corporate Chrysler have continued putting my life, my families life and others in danger. I fear for my life and my families. This car is nothing but a luxury lemon and corporate Chrysler needs to replace the vehicle since they cannot fix it.

The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred several other times on different occasions. While on highway, my radio turned off and vehicle went into battery saving mode. As I proceeded to exit the highway, the interior and exterior lights started to flicker. I went to autozone and the car barely made it there. The car smelled like if something was burning under the hood. One of the attendants checked my battery and said the battery was drained, I had them recharge it. I had to get the car towed since the car was inoperable. I picked up the battery this morning and turned the car on, and all the electrical system started to flicker so I just turned of the car. I read in to the vehicles recalls and I noticed that recall #p6o is exactly what my car was doing last night. I called Chrysler today and they refuse to fix it due to my car not being affected by this recall but it obviously has been. Is there anything that I can do to make my car part of this recall? if so what steps can I take to make this happen? this is a safety issue that could of caused an accident and or multiple accidents since I was on the highway when this issue started, if not for my quick thinking the car could of stalled in the middle of the highway. I should also mention that while the electrical system began to fail it was extremely difficult to brake. On another note, the air bag light turns on and off all the time. I am afraid if we have an accident that the air bags won't deploy.
The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. While driving various speeds, the air bag warning indicator illuminated and remained lit. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer, but was not diagnosed. The contact stated that the dealer reset the air bag warning system, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
Vehicle has suffered failure of the air bag system on three separate occasions. The air bag light comes on intermittently for a period of weeks until it stays on permanently until repaired by the dealership. The first two times the dealership has said that the part replaced is the same as indicated on recall 13v118000, yet, my VIN does not apply to the recall. The current failure has not been duplicated by the dealership and thus they refuse to fix it. Further, the light was on the day prior to bringing it in for service, on 9/22, yet the dealership found no codes. They state that any time the light comes on, a code is stored that is not cleared until the battery is removed or the code is cleared by their diagnostic tool. Thus the finding of no codes stored is troubling, as there would be no discernible evidence in the event of a crash as to why the airbag system was failing prior to the accident. Chrysler has already repaired the issue twice under extended warranty, and I have paid the deductible for the repairs each time. They continue to repair the airbag system with faulty parts.
The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, the air bag warning indicators illuminated. The problem recurred multiple times. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 13v118000 (air bags). The failure mileage was 62,000.
I purchased a "certified pre-owned" Chrysler 300s on 02/14/14. From the beginning I had to go to the dealer in numerous occasions due to too many electrical issues, including air bag light, seat belt alarm that will go off when nothing or nobody will be on the passenger seat. I had to take a video with my phone while driving for them to see that I was not lying and that there was an issue with the air bag light. Finally they changed something there and at the same time disconnected the alarm for the seat belt so it wouldn't go off. We asked several times if this may be a safety issue and they told us it was not. The car also has a rear shade that has to be repaired already once during warranty, and a second time when I had to pay for its repair. It is not working again since more than a month ago. The hands free system is also not working, and it has not worked right from the beginning. I had complained to them that my phone was not connecting all the time and they kept saying it was the satellite, the phone, etc. Now of course it doesn't work at all and I will have to pay $100 just for diagnostic. I called their 800 number for the certified preowned customer service and they said it is the hands-free module that needs to be replaced. This is also a very important safety feature I need working. I commute more than 53 miles every day and have conference calls while on the road. The rear view camera is also not working right. It works intermittently and again, this was an issue we mentioned to the dealer while the car was under warranty and they always had an excuse why that was happening. This again is also a safety feature important for the safety of the car. This car has too many problems that should not be happening to a car that was certified by the company to be in excellent conditions and that a year and 5 months later is in worst shape than my 8 year old magnum.
The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that the air bag light illuminated intermittently while driving. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and the contact was informed that there was a failure within the wiring under the front seats. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was 16,000.
Air bag light came on. Took it dealership, said it was a loose wire under driver's seat. Fault came on again in about 2 months, this time dealership order and replaced the wiring harness under the seat. And once again, a few months later, the light is coming back on, now also the key sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.
