My gear shift is stuck in park and the plastic pink part have broken off. This part should be recalled. I could have been stuck any where with my childern in the car. The weahter is getting warm and its not a good thing. Who ever is listening please re-call this part because its plastic and it should have been made out of metal. I should not have to pay out of pocket for this. Part- shift interlock latch.

Vehicle was in cruise control mode set at 70mph. Vehicle in front of mine was going slower my vehicle slowed down automatically as it is designed to do. I proceeded to left lane to pass the other vehicle (truck) as I began passing my vehicle accelerated to a speed of over 85mph without my touching either the gas pedal or the res button of the cruise feature. I then had to cancel the cruise control feature and brake the car to slow down. It was terrifying. This happened more then once during my trip. I had the vehicle into Chrysler before because the computer turned the heated seat feature and heated steering wheel feature on without my touching the buttons. The car was reprogrammed to correct this problem and I am wondering if the reprogramming affected the cruise control feature.

While driving using adaptive cruise control the car seems to hesitate for a second, drop into a lower gear and the top speed is limited - the check engine and the traction control warning lights go on. A message also appears saying "fcw off", and the acc will not work. Turning the engine off and restarting removes all indications of the problems except for the check engine light, which goes off eventually. Was able to get to a dealer with the check engine light on and was told that the light went out while testing, other time they could not find any problems, but updated software and replaced a switch. This seems to happen on long trips and much to my personnel concerns when I'm in the left lane on the interstate with traffic when the car conks out.

I had driven my car home from work, I was on the street I live on and waiting for an ambulance to clear the entrance to my drive way so I could park. I put my car in park at the direction of the emergency response team, once the emergency vehicle had cleared the entrance I was unable to shift my car back in to drive, or reverse. It was stuck in the park position. I had to call a tow truck to move my vehicle from the road in order not to block traffic, I was also slightly in the lane of on coming traffic due to the placement of the emergency vehicles at the time (I live in an assisted living facility, it is normal for the emergency vehicles to be present on and around the property and they often direct other vehicles outside of the normal flow of traffic. ) after this incident I found Chrysler had recalled several vehicles of the same make, model and year as mine. However the manufacturer informed me that my VIN number was not on the list, even though I had the same exact issue, Chrysler claimed this to be coincidental. Had my vehicle been hit while blocking traffic, would Chrysler then fix this issue? would the government require them to address this issue if someone does get hurt? what has to happen before they are held responsible for the product that has clearly had the same defect they already know exists? I am appalled that they can knowingly have a defective product and claim it to be coincidental. On top of that, they profit from selling the replacement part, the labor and they don't cover the towing expense to have it repaired, since I was unable to drive my vehicle to the dealership. Didn't our tax dollars recently go to a bail out? would be nice to have a company that wants to ensure their products are safe and operating in a correct manner. Extremely disappointed.

Car won't come out of park to drive. The lever inside is broke. Dealer says it's not just the lever it's the whole sifter transfer case.
Our engine went out and needed replaced when car was under 80,000 miles. It had to be replaced for over $3000. Now we are told that the cradle/subframe that holds the engine in is rusted through causing our vehicle problems when turning right. It's ready to break and cause many problems if we continue driving it!!! I've found many complaints with both of these issues online that people have reported to the company. What's it going to take to get a recall? a death as result of an accident caused from driving the car. I have kids. . . Its unsafe and costly. . . What a junk car Chrysler :(.
Radio shut off. All of a sudden there was a picture battery light on the dash. It was raining hard, therefore, I had to pull over because the wipers did not functioned properly due to the problem (it went to a slow motion). As soon as I pulled ove, the car shuts off. Had to get my car pushed by a cop and my boyfriend out of a dangerous spot where it left me stuck, towed, taken to the dealer for them to tell me that it is the alternator and repairs are around $800, and a 63$ diagnosis fee! really!? no one has it in stock, and one store told me "there must be something wrong with those alternators because the factory doesn't have them either, sorry you need to call the dealer. ".

Parked the car at home and the next morning could not remove the car out of park.
The car will start but can not be shifted from the park gear. VIN number does not match to the ones that have already been recalled. Problem is recognized by auto tower and is frequent.
The forward collision warning (fcw) does not work. Info I have received is that fcw was part of the adaptive cruise control (acc) and only works as part of that system. The Chrysler manual does not say that the acc has to be on for fcw to work. Fcw is a completely different topic from acc in the manual. Fcw is supposed to work when you come up behind a car even without the acc on. In my car the fcw activates at times when the acc is off and it picks up something on the right such as a car in front of me turning right onto another road. Other manufactures such as Ford and Hyundai have fcw that works without the acc on. While not relieving the driver from needing to brake, fcw is a safety feature I paid for, and I want it to work. I have made several trips to two different dealers to try to get the fcw fixed with no success .
From what I've learned there's a defect in Chrysler automobiles with the hemi engine. Any time the gas tank is filled, if a sharp left turn is taken the car stalls out. This is exactly what has happened to me periodically over the last two years. I brought the car to two local mechanics and the Chrysler dealership, nobody could figure it out, it doesn't show up on the car's computer. Finally, a third mechanic googled it and came up with an article in the l. A. Times that perfectly described my situation (duh, I should've thought of that). It wasn't until the car stalled in the middle of a busy road, on a Friday afternoon, with my two-year-old daughter in the car, that I really had an issue. I was able to roll into the parking lot of a shopping plaza, so it ended alright, but if there was nowhere to go that could've spelled disaster! as a guy I can handle a situation like this, but when children are involved a defect of this type is unacceptable. I'm the original owner of the car, so it's not related to user error by any means. In the end the third mechanic quoted me $1800 for a new gas tank + lines + labor, or I could not fill my tank to the top when I get gas. Thanks Chrysler! plus, the shifter for the automatic transmission on the 300c will lock up, not letting the driver shift from park to drive. Thanks again Chrysler for stranding my pregnant wife! (I still have the shifter in my garage hoping that will be a recall).

Vehicle was parked;vehicle would not shift from park, immediately after driving. Vehicle towed to hendrick Chrysler for repair. Vehicle was recalled,Feb. 2007 ref. #f50. I purchased same from listed dealer,10-12-2007 and vehicle was not serviced reference the noted recall before selling to me(months later);I was never advised of same recall. My vehicle meets all criteria for recall,I. E. ,time of manufacture,VIN. Number specifications, plus, same symptions noted in recall matches my breakdown symptoms(plus the un-reprogrammed computer factors into the breakdown. I have documentation of same). I called Chrysler today for repair reimbursement costs and a ms. Gloria @ 800-853-1403, hid behind the"typical" Chrysler response to this issue that I have read in numerous reviews on-line about this problem, being:"your VIN. # does not fall within range. .
